=== drasko [~drasko@kds8-073.ptt.yu] has joined #ubuntu-doc === mdke [~matt@mdke.user] has joined #ubuntu-doc [12:17] hi all. I have one not so imporartant question. Why was moinmoin selected for the official Ubuntu wiki, and not some other (twiki?) - why do you find it best? [12:17] important [12:17] not sure [12:17] but someone said it was simple and easy to use [12:17] drasko, you don't like it? [12:19] mdke, well, I like it, no doubt. But I was yust wondering since I found out there are so manny wikis. [12:19] hmm [12:20] yeah [12:20] there are 4 markups even on our wiki [12:20] but imo moin is easier to use than the others [12:23] One else things that cross my mind now is strong inssisting on pyton in Ubuntu in general, so that could be the part of the answer as well... [12:25] how come? [12:25] is it python based? [12:25] yes. [12:26] aha [12:26] that may be part of the reason then [12:28] it seems to be advanced version of pikipiki -- guess where te name comes from :) [12:29] ? [12:30] just kidding.. python, of course. Btw, moinmoin is supposed to mean "good day" in german. [12:30] oh i c [12:30] morgan? [12:31] Frmo the site: "MoinMoin" is a common German slang expression, "Moin" meaning "Good (Day)", and "MoinMoin" being an emphasis, i.e. "A Very Good Day". The name was obviously choosen for its WikiWikiNess. [12:32] :) [12:48] heh [12:52] drasko, say drasko, i'm playing with a new page [12:52] if you wanna give it some ideas then that would be cool [12:52] http://www.ubuntulinux.org/wiki/TestingNewFrontPage [12:53] i gotta go to bed now [12:53] good night [01:16] nite all === drasko [~drasko@kds8-073.ptt.yu] has left #ubuntu-doc ["Leaving"] === jsgotangco [~jsg@202.57.71.235] has joined #ubuntu-doc === froud-away is now known as froud === froud is now known as froud-away === Burgundavia [~Burgundav@S0106000000cc07fc.gv.shawcable.net] has joined #ubuntu-doc === mako [mako@micha.hampshire.edu] has joined #ubuntu-doc === jjesse [~jjesse@mail.ftpb.com] has joined #ubuntu-doc === drasko [~drasko@ic-07.etf.bg.ac.yu] has joined #ubuntu-doc === jsgotangco [~jsg@202.57.71.235] has joined #ubuntu-doc === massarino [massarino@ppp-62-10-141-207.dialup.tiscali.it] has joined #ubuntu-doc === massarino [massarino@ppp-62-10-141-207.dialup.tiscali.it] has left #ubuntu-doc ["Sto] === froud_ [~froud@ndn-165-131-237.telkomadsl.co.za] has joined #ubuntu-doc === jjesse [~jjesse@mail.ftpb.com] has left #ubuntu-doc ["Leaving"] === jjesse [~jjesse@mail.ftpb.com] has joined #ubuntu-doc === mercurus [~mercurus@pipp-p-144-138-229-7.prem.tmns.net.au] has joined #ubuntu-doc === mako_ [mako@micha.hampshire.edu] has joined #ubuntu-doc [03:38] doh i left this open all night [03:38] i'm now back :) === froud_ is now known as froud-away [04:47] slow day here :) [04:48] hey [04:48] usually slow in here [04:50] hello burgundavia [04:51] grin froud and i had quite an active discussion yesterday [04:52] what abouts [05:03] he taught me how to work w/ docbook and how to svn === Burgundavia [~Burgundav@S0106000000cc07fc.gv.shawcable.net] has joined #ubuntu-doc === sm [~simon@lsanca1-ar5-4-60-052-182.lsanca1.dsl-verizon.net] has joined #ubuntu-doc === sm [~simon@lsanca1-ar5-4-60-052-182.lsanca1.dsl-verizon.net] has left #ubuntu-doc [] === maskie [~maskie@196-30-109-151.uudial.uunet.co.za] has joined #ubuntu-doc === mdke [~matt@mdke.user] has joined #ubuntu-doc [08:18] good evening all [08:19] hello [08:19] but it would be morning for me [08:19] hi corey [08:19] morning :) [08:19] how are you?
