=== spiv [~andrew@adsl-66-203.swiftdsl.com.au] has joined #launchpad [01:14] Moaning. [01:43] spiv: please try baz now [01:43] spiv: tell me if its fixed or not [01:44] lifeless: Will do. [01:57] Looks much better. [01:59] 1m 30s for a baz update (from a cold cache) that had to apply 5 patches to build a new revlib entry, and deal with a handful of local changes, on an athlon 750. [02:00] So you figured out why it regressed so much? [02:01] Oh, wow: PANIC: unable to fork for patch [02:01] I think the thing that was the prime regression was adding arch_abs_path (foo) into an inner loop [02:01] its a very unoptimised call that. [02:01] I've never gotten that before. [02:01] Sounds plausible. [02:02] But I also added in stat result caching for the inventories that are used [02:02] how much ram do you have [02:02] ? [02:02] (how old is an athlon 750 ?) [02:04] 384Mb in the athlon, 512Mb on my laptop. [02:04] The PANIC was from my laptop, though. [02:04] wow [02:04] I'd bet on a furfy [02:05] It happened just after * reapplying local changes [02:06] during 'update' ? [02:06] Yeah. [02:07] thats strange, the resources should have been freed. [02:07] It was 45 revisions worth of launchpad update. [02:07] (and only took 4m, which is much better than a few days ago) [02:19] can you undo to the old revision, than update again ? [02:19] what baz version do you have ? [02:22] Bazaar version 1.3~200504102028 [02:29] is there a newer one available ? [02:32] ooh has launchpad been updated? [02:33] not in the last few days [02:33] update coming today [02:34] oh cool [02:34] can't wait === mpt [~mpt@203.86.197.132] has joined #launchpad === mpt [~mpt@203.86.197.132] has left #launchpad [] === carlos [~carlos@69.Red-80-33-181.pooles.rima-tde.net] has joined #launchpad === Simira [~simira@56.80-202-210.nextgentel.com] has joined #launchpad [12:51] What's up?: "Bad Gateway [12:51] The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. [12:52] we could do with a "launchpad is down for maintenance" page [12:52] its like that here too [12:52] i thought it was due to the upgrade [12:53] hi Kinnison :) Going to .au soon? [12:53] Simira: I'm not going to LCA so not for a week or so :-) [12:53] IIRC my flight is on the 22nd [12:53] ok [12:54] I'm not joining this time. But I'll keep an eye on you guys anyhow. [07:36] you mean it doesn't bother you, or it redirects? [07:36] mdke: If you try to enter into a page that need validation, you will see the login form and after that you will be back to the page you asked for... [07:36] that's the way it works here... [07:37] try https://launchpad.ubuntu.com/people/ubuntu-l10n-it/+members and clicking on a name [07:38] hmm [07:38] ok, it works here [07:38] but [07:38] I think I know why it's not working for you... [07:38] this is what i get: [07:38] I suppose it's because I'm an admin and that page is only for admins [07:38] yeah [07:38] Sorry, you don't have permission to access this page. [07:38] You are logged in as Matthew East [07:39] if would be cool if that redirected to people/name [07:39] mdke: the link you asked is in that page, but you don't have rights to reach it [07:39] yep [07:39] salgado-lunch: could you ping us when you are back? [07:39] carlos: am I supposed to be redirected after login? And, where do I find the national translation teams in Rosetta? Are there any links? [07:40] carlos, i think it would be cool if https://launchpad.ubuntu.com/people/ubuntu-l10n-it/+members/gulliver666 (me) linked to https://launchpad.ubuntu.com/people/gulliver666 [07:40] Simira: you should be redirected if the login form appear without you selecting it directly [07:40] Simira, https://launchpad.ubuntu.com/people/ [07:40] Simira: https://launchpad.ubuntu.com/people/ubuntu-translators [07:40] ok [07:41] there you have all the language teams we have at the moment, other option is as mdke says, using the search form [07:41] mdke: I'm not in charge of that part of launchpad, you need to talk with salgado-lunch about it [07:41] cool [07:41] carlos, the other serious issue I have is with rosetta [07:42] tell me [07:42] the language teams exist to check existing translations is that correct? [07:43] yes [07:43] but there is no way to mark translations as checked. The italian team is thinking about using a wiki page to report which translations get checked, or a mailing list (if we can find a host), but these are quite unsatisfactory solutions. [07:44] mdke: we have that in mind already, but we decided to let you use the system now, instead of delay it more until we implement the "reviewed" feature [07:44] yeah thats cool [07:44] so what do you think is the best temporary solution: wiki? [07:44] for marking translations as checked i mean === carlos is preparing now a RosettaFAQs page, will update the Wishlist later... [07:44] yeah i saw that: cool idea [07:45] mind if I reparent it? [07:45] mdke: don't know, the best solution is whatever gives you as a team more flexivility [07:45] carlos, yeah ok [07:45] mdke: I'm doing it, don't worry [07:45] kewl [07:45] but the wiki is sooooo sloooow [07:45] hmm [07:45] its ok here [07:46] but its not entirely user friendly ;) [07:46] the zwiki skin is a bit faster [07:47] ok, moved [07:47] mdke: it took about 2 minutes to rename the page... [07:47] ouch [07:47] just to reparent it? [07:47] sucks [07:48] no, rename it [07:48] the reparent was faster [07:48] even so, not great [07:50] oooh also i remember what i wanted to ask you: has the gpg thing been abandoned? i noticed the CoC interface is not there anymore [07:51] bbl cooking [07:52] mdke: I think it has been delayed because it's not ready yet === bradb [~bradb@modemcable063.85-202-24.mc.videotron.ca] has joined #launchpad === helmoltz [~helmoltz@81-208-60-207.fastres.net] has joined #launchpad [08:10] carlos, ping [08:11] salgado: mdke is not able to see the link you added at the team membership page to get the people/$person link of a member [08:12] salgado: because the page with the link is only available to admins of that team or launchpad admins [08:12] mdke: could you talk with salgado about this? [08:13] if you like [08:13] gimme a moment tho [08:13] i'm zipping between kitchen/computer [08:16] salgado, hi [08:16] mdke, carlos, that's right. the link is only on the team's memberhip page of a given person. it's mainly for team administrators to see more information about the members [08:16] i was just thinking it would be good if normal users would be redirected to the people/$personsname [08:17] right now, adding a link on that page were we display all members is problematic, because the whole row is a link [08:17] right [08:17] its not a big deal [08:18] its just a little more time consuming for normal users to collect information about all members === bradb [~bradb@modemcable087.14-130-66.mc.videotron.ca] has joined #launchpad === JanC [~janc@JanC.member.lugwv] has joined #launchpad === Simira [~simira@56.80-202-210.nextgentel.com] has left #launchpad [] === mdke [~mdke@mdke.user] has left #launchpad ["Leaving"]
