I've been reading up on sbuild too. Generally, how do you do kernel compiles, do you use a fresh copy of hoary on VMware or something? [04:35] for beezy we are using hoary with our patch set and 2.6.12-rc2 and working agains that [04:44] ok [04:44] Do you generally use a "real" computer for devel, or do you use a VMware, or is that a bad idea? [04:46] qemu is another good alternative [04:49] i use my regular computer [04:49] im too cheap ;) [04:56] lol [04:56] so I found the playground at http://people.ubuntu.com/~lamont/Archives/kernel-team@ubuntu.com--2005/ [04:57] do you use the ansestry patches and kernel-ddebian--pre1 [04:57] to be "bleeding edge"? [04:58] breezy is using pre1--2.6.11.91 right now [04:59] i set all my apt sources to breezy and have apt-upgraded and I'm at 2.6.10-5-386 [04:59] am I missing a "special" apt source? [05:00] yes [05:00] you need to get the 2.6.11 source tarball and need to install baz [05:01] what is jackass.ubuntu? [05:01] http://www.ubuntulinux.org/wiki/KernelBazNotes [05:02] thanks [05:02] no probs [05:03] i tried to apt-get install baz [05:03] is that an app that must be compiled from source?
