Tm_TGonzalo: hmm, funny ;p10:15

Tm_TGonzalo: nano ;)10:23
GonzaloNano works as well, of course.10:23

GonzaloBut lots of people in Kubuntu's audience are scared of the command line.10:23

Tm_TGonzalo: dhcp3 has files under /etc/ so I think ubuntu uses it10:24

VjazUmm... do you mean actually ripping the source code apart and making a light version of Firefox?07:52
YooBooWell, i think there was one :/ i forgot the name, but firefox has always run fast for me anyways07:52
YooBooonly problem i had with it was ona 300mhz computer07:52
YooBooand it took about 6 seconds to load07:52
VjazOk. Speed was actually the reason I was switching to Opera.07:52
YooBooso, cigars all round07:52
philipacamaniacOn a 300Mhz, you might as well use lynx07:53
YooBooI dont like opera it just seems... 1 word - cramped07:53
VjazOne thing is that Opera caches pages in history nicely, so going back and forward is effectively instant.07:53
YooBooabout:config? :307:53
VjazAlso, Firefox sucks at rendering pages with fixed backgrounds. Small problem really, but it just pissed me off because I was browsing one website that had a fixed background at the time...07:54
philipacamaniacI'm still waiting for a QT Firefox port, or Konqueror with a Gecko engine.07:54

YooBooKonqueror, that is07:55
VjazUm... works fine here.07:55
VjazGmail that is.07:56
VjazAlthough it does say "For a better Gmail experience, use a fully supported browser."07:56
philipacamaniacI like konki, but Gecko renders more sites (perhaps due to more css code, perhaps something else)07:56
YooBooYup07:56
philipacamaniacAnd it is running in HTML mode, rather than standard mode07:56
philipacamaniacmeaning you don't have things like autocomplete in the To: box07:56
YooBooWell, balls to opera, it's cramped, and i just find it.. monopolistic, kinda07:56
VjazHm... I'm guessing the "fully supported browser" stuff is bullshit. They support Safari but not Konqueror?07:57
VjazIsn't the rendering engine mostly the same?07:57
philipacamaniacSadly, not anymore.07:57
VjazYooBoo: Monopolistic?07:57
YooBooYeah07:58
philipacamaniacWe don't need to get into a heated debate, but let's just say Apple and Zack Rusin had a falling out.07:58
YooBooI mean, they aren't much of the browser demographic, but they want their cash from it.07:58
YooBooIn terms of an ad here, cramped controls, etc07:58
YooBooAnd yet still, OPERA is splashed all over the GUI07:59
YooBooSo, if you have an arrythmia or cardiac arrest, then you know you're using opera :/07:59
VjazWell it's a better browser in many ways, so I don't see a problem with they asking money for it.07:59
