[04:12] coupla ultra 5s and 1 or 2 ultra 1s [04:13] just wondering if they'd be useful remotely [04:13] neuro|laptop: not as buildd.. they are too slow, if they have console we can use them as test install machines [04:28] okie [04:28] or you can install and report :) [04:28] but it's nice you want to help [04:28] thanks === fabbione needs to go offline [04:29] later [04:30] I have an Ultra80 with 3 procs if that could bring joy to the party. [04:31] shinmen: same as neuro|laptop :) can we use it for test installs? or do you want to run test installs? [04:31] i really must go now [04:31] later [04:32] fabbione, Shure, just let me know what do you want to test and I'll do it. [04:32] BTW, any TODO list for sparc... I've been kinda idle here at work, so I have a bit of time to help arround. === shinmen [n=shinmen@nat1.inalambrica.net] has joined #ubuntu-ports [08:25] shinmen: install party :) there is X autoconfig that needs to be worked out on sparc [08:27] fabbione, Ok, first of all... I looked at, but didn't follow the steps on the installguide for warty, but for breezy I just grabbed the already there debian sarge and apt-get dist-upgraded it. Is there some other way? [08:27] fabbione, Is there a web page on ubuntu sparc info (other than the repository at sparc.ubuntu) [08:27] you went all the wrong way :) [08:28] there is no warty for sparc [08:28] only breezy [08:28] in the announce i explained how to install it [08:28] there is netinstall either via tftpboot or miniso [08:28] upgrades from sarge are tricky if you don't know how to use apt pinning [08:28] also.. the installer works [08:29] and only via the installer you get to test X autoconfig for real [08:30] I'll take a hard drive home tonight to test it. [08:30] :) === shinmen wonders if he has scsi drives to spare for the U80 === shinmen sees the door open on the E450 an steals from it === neuro|laptop [n=neuro@neuro.me.uk] has joined #ubuntu-ports
