[04:13] <cmvo> This symlink does not exist after a reboot, but gets created by kbuildsycoca.
[04:14] <cmvo> When the symlink is created admin mode works, when it is delete it does not.

[04:23] <cmvo> When kded later detects a change in software (I don't know what kded is watching in detail) it runs kbuildsycoca which also creates the link.

[04:24] <cmvo> This could be an explanation why the problem is so erratic. Anytime kded runs kbuildsycoca admin mode begins to work until the next reboot.
