Kevin72594wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb112:03
Kevin72594i'm thiunking just changing the type in fdisk would fix it, but I don't want to lose all the data12:04
LjLKevin72594: http://www.patoche.org/LTT/install/00000117.html <-- not directly related, but you probably should read this12:04
LjLKevin72594: you won't lose the data, as the ntfs fs will only mount your partition in read-only mode unless you explicitely tell it otherwise12:04
LjLKevin72594: i assume you gave mount the "-t ntfs" option12:05
Kevin72594yes I did12:05
Kevin72594LjL: do you think just changing fs type to whatever ntfs is in fdisk will be worth a shot?12:06
LjLworth a shot, yeah12:06
LjLit's nothing you can't put back to the way it was before in any case12:06
Kevin72594what type is ntfs supposed to be?12:07
raphinkntfs12:08
Kevin72594no, in fdisk what number is it supposed to be, there's 3 or 4 different ntfs ones12:08
LjLhttp://www.linux.com/howtos/Large-Disk-HOWTO-7.shtml12:09
LjLread this, especially the last two paragraphs12:09

duendegranbar: basically you install the modules, change the driver in /etc/X11/xorg.conf to "fglrx" (instead of "ati"). Then restart your Xserver.  Ensure that X is using the right config file by checking /var/log/Xorg.0.log11:47
