lucasvois there any way how to exchange ssh keys on ltsp client? I would like to use loopback ssh to ltsp client10:30
lucasvowith these commands: ssh -R 2000:localhost:22 user@A  && ssh -p 2000 user@localhost10:30
lucasvoogra_: loopback ssh doesn't work well :(10:37
lucasvoI think it is  a problem of key handling/writing permission on ltsp client10:38
lucasvolucasvo@lama:~$ ssh -p 2000 lucasvo@localhost10:39
lucasvossh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host10:39

BreezyHello06:31
BreezyOkay...just got the ISO, made the disk, booted the disk up and I am at the partitioning part.  I have two drives (hda - with fat32 and ext3 - from a previous redhad install - and hdb with fat32, ext3 and swap partition).  The options inially given is to erase hda and/or hdb...I want to save my windows partitions on each if possible.  I am trying to do the manual part, but it still doesn't seem to allow me to erase just the ext306:34
BreezyOne other thing...the Network configuration part doesn't allow DHCP for IP configuration...any way to set that?06:34

spaceyBreezy, just choose manually configure partition table06:49
spaceyor something similar06:49
spaceyand edubuntu intends to be the dhcp server itself. You can skip that sort of and manually change it later to auto at least06:50
spaceybecause it wants to be dhcp server itself it will ask you for static ip first06:51
spaceybut you can easily reconfigure that for DHCP after install06:51
BreezySorry...had to take care of something...06:51
BreezyBut if I have a DHCP server already...is there no way to set this at inital install time?  Could a check box be added to allow DHCP support maybe?06:52
spaceyBreezy, for now you should just enter an static ip temporary until you finished install. If i remember the install correctly06:53
spaceyeasy to change later06:54
spaceythe reason why its not its because of the way edubuntu is targetted but you can always request that feature. but that won't help you on short term.06:54
spaceyi think i just entered ip address first, didn't configure dhcpd and fixed it afterwards.06:55
spaceyit has been a while for me06:55
Breezyok...06:57
spaceyi'm going to make dinner & eat now. i'll be back later07:00
spaceyBreezy, do you intend to use the LTSP facility in edubuntu?07:00
spaceyor just use it as a normal desktop07:00
spaceyif its just as an edubuntu desktop you can install it with the "standalone" boot parameter. If not just continue with the above07:01
BreezyI was planning on trying it out to see if its something that might be useful for my wife's school that she teaches at.  I regret to say, I do not even know what LTSP stands for...07:02
Breezywell...have to go somewhere...talk at you later...with more questions I'm sure...07:03
