jdumontHeres what I did.... I installed Ubuntu from the cdrom.  Then someone in #ubuntu gave me a command to get edubuntu vs. having to download the edubuntu iso..  Is that all there is to it?  Do I have exactly what I would if I burned an edubuntu cd? Thanks.05:13
mhzjdumont: who told you that?05:16
mhzjdumont: if you already have ubuntu installed, then there are 2 options:05:16
mhza) install edubuntu-server and edubuntu-desktop on top of your current ubuntu05:17
jdumonti got it in the ubuntu channel05:17
mhzexample: sudo apt-get install edubuntu-desktop edubuntu-server05:17
mhzBut if you only want/need the edu applications,05:18
mhzthe only edubuntu-desktop05:18
jdumontsudo apt-get install edubuntu-desktop  is what I typed in.05:18
mhzjdumont: what is exactly you are looking for?05:18
mhzjdumont: then , you only got edu-applications, no LTSP environment05:19
jdumonti installed ubuntu but wanted to explore the whole edubuntu terminal server concept.05:19
jdumonti was in the midst of downloading a 650mb edubuntu iso when i asked the question in #ubuntu....  then someone gave me the command.05:20
jdumontthen after i rebooted, i have the edubuntu looking desktop and apps05:21
jdumontso "now" i was just asking if what I have is what I would have if I installed edubuntu fresh.  thanks.05:22
mhznope05:23
mhzthen you only need to install edubuntu-server now05:24
jdumont sudo apt-get install edubuntu-server   like that?05:24
mhzthat will provide the LTSP environment05:24
mhzyup05:24
jdumontso I've gone from ubuntu > edubuntu-desktop > edubuntu-server.05:25
jdumontLTSP... I'll have to look that one up.05:25
jdumontLinux Terminal Server Project... ah05:26

jsgotangcooohh that is pretty neat02:35
mhzsingle slide = I mean single page so that SlideShow can render it pretty well02:37
mhzall slides02:37
