frank23unix_infidel: There is some kind of gtk to kde wrapper that makes gtk apps look like kde apps05:04
MiKuSand it made me go through a few more settings which were allready correct05:04

unix_infidelonly the gtk themes.05:04
unix_infidelhow would i enable that.05:04
frank23unix_infidel: I know. that setting  System Settings > Appearance > GTK styles and fonts only affects gtk apps05:05
frank23unix_infidel: I you select Keramik as KDE style, and Geramik as GTK style, apps look very similar05:05
frank23MiKuS: sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg is what I was going to suggest.05:06
MiKuSdamn, looks like no kubuntu for me then :-\05:06
frank23MiKuS: you can try to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf  and change the video driver to vesa. maybe you will have better luck05:06

maentyI'm currently in a dependency-hell, cannot install anything09:41
maentyI just installed Kubuntu yesterday, at first I could not even load X because no signal to the screen, finally after hours of battling, I found out that I need to install new display drivers. those drivers needs some libc++5 that I don't have, but they work anyway09:42

maentyIs there a way I can just automatically install all of this stuff that is depended by others?09:44
maentyI remember having the same kind of loop of dependency-problems in redhat some years ago. I ended up giving up in installing most of the program because always one depedns on other, then the other depedns on third one etc etc, never I can install the first one09:45
maentyI've heard that with using debian-based distro like kubuntu, I would not have any dependency-hell... :(09:46
pulveryou cant install libstdc++5?09:46
maentyno because it depends on gcc-3.3-base09:46
maentyand probably if i try to install gcc-3.3-base it depends on someting else, and cannot be installed09:46
maentyit's never-ending loop09:47
maentyWhat I'm asking is, is there way to automatically install the whole loop to get rid of dependency-problem?09:47
