[01:09] hi dennis can i ask you a fast question about irc bots? [01:09] sure [01:10] i have a irc server and i need a logger bot ,do you know a good software for it? [01:11] Bluekuja: mostly any will do, eggdrop seems like a reasonable choice, too bloated tho :P [01:11] if you operate the server, then just let the server log [01:11] otherwise, use a supybot or an eggdrop [01:11] oh perfect [01:11] tnx seveas and pygi [01:11] ;) === pygi considers eggdrop too bloated for such simple tasks :) [01:11] yeah [01:12] heeh [01:12] eggdrop sucks anyway [01:12] lol === pygi heartly agrees with Seveas... === superseth [n=smarinel@24-205-231-12.dhcp.snlo.ca.charter.com] has joined #edubuntu [02:05] goodnight #edubuntu === LaserJock is now known as LaserJock_away === Arc [n=arc@westfish.xiph.osuosl.org] has left #edubuntu [] === Burgundavia [n=corey@ubuntu/member/burgundavia] has joined #edubuntu === mgalvin [n=mgalvin@ubuntu/member/mgalvin] has joined #edubuntu === LaserJock_away is now known as LaserJock === mhz [n=mhz_chil@pc-130-84-214-201.cm.vtr.net] has joined #edubuntu === mhz is now known as rebooting === emmakelley [n=emmiek@cpe-72-228-252-103.rochester.res.rr.com] has joined #edubuntu === mhz [n=mhz_chil@pc-130-84-214-201.cm.vtr.net] has joined #edubuntu [04:11] Hi === emmakelley [n=emmiek@cpe-72-228-252-103.rochester.res.rr.com] has left #edubuntu [] === mhz is now known as mhz_rebooting === ogra_ibook [n=ogra@ubuntu/member/ogra] has joined #edubuntu === mhz [n=mhz_chil@moinmoin/fan/mhz] has joined #edubuntu === jsgotangco [n=jsg@ubuntu/member/jsgotangco] has joined #edubuntu === mhz is now known as rebooting3 === mhz [n=mhz_chil@pc-130-84-214-201.cm.vtr.net] has joined #edubuntu === zakame [n=zak@ubuntu/member/zakame] has joined #edubuntu === superseth [n=smarinel@24-205-231-12.dhcp.snlo.ca.charter.com] has joined #edubuntu === caravena [n=caravena@166-171-28.adsl.terra.cl] has joined #edubuntu === LaserJock is now known as LaserJock_away === alexcamilo [n=alexcami@KAMIRO-LAPTOP.RES.WPI.NET] has joined #edubuntu [08:25] Hello [08:28] I have some questions about edubuntu. [09:14] hi pourriture [09:15] i work on the tuxlabs project: http://www.tuxlabs.org.za [09:15] we user a highly customised, and a bit more primitive setup, but similar to edubuntu [09:16] we run it in 200 schools across south africa at the moment, and it's been great. [09:17] cool ... am looking at that now ... don't have kids myself (yet) but friends and co-workers are always asking me about good computer stuff for their kids [09:17] more home use ... not terminal server type classroom things [09:19] ok. the default edubuntu installation doesn't have massive amount of software for kids. [09:19] but if you download software from the ubuntu universe, there's lots of cool stuff. [09:20] I have installed the debian jr package before ... but it was kind of hit and miss as far as being current [09:22] and I don't usually use gnome or kde ... so I might have missed some of the finer points .... for my boxen I use a slim fluxbox or svgalib config [09:22] so the full blown desktop environment is a bit out of my arena [09:31] XFCE is really nice. === Yagisan [n=jamie@60-240-10-238-nsw-pppoe.tpgi.com.au] has joined #edubuntu === jsgotangco [n=jsg@ubuntu/member/jsgotangco] has joined #edubuntu [11:28] hi jsgotangco [11:28] how are things going?
