soundmaster80i cannot install the linux-restricted-modules-38604:23

soundmaster80i think it is telling me they are broken04:23
wchoggWhich kernel version is it not installing?04:24
soundmaster80i don't know04:24
soundmaster80when i try to update i get "the following packages have been held back" ..-38604:25
wchoggIf you look in adept it should list the packages according to which kernel versions they're for, then you can see which one is marked as "upgradeable".04:25
soundmaster80lol...well if i had x server i would :)04:26
soundmaster80i have an old nvidia tnt2 card04:26
soundmaster80i installed the legacy driver04:26
soundmaster80last night it all worked fine04:27
wchoggWell I can say that I found that 2.6.15.21 will install, but more recent ones don't work.  So if you use that kernel version everything should work.04:27

rohanHobbsee: yes, but like, for editing simple text files, imo, kedit would be overkill10:22

rohanHobbsee: err.. yeah, kate's overkill10:23
rohanseeing that it has those programming tabs and all10:23
Hobbseetrue...10:24
Hobbseekwrite's not bad for really simple stuff10:24

rohanno10:26
rohanto kwrite for simple files10:26
rohanand to kate for .c and .h and such programming files10:26
Hobbseethat just gets more and more confusing - better just to stick with the one text editor10:27
