zulhow is it going?02:26
infinityBenC: Why do I have a feeling that "disable the debconf stuff" in kernel-package completely disabled all useful configuration (like symlink updating, creating initrd, etc, etc)?02:29
infinityBenC: The postinst on my 2.6.17-4 kernel is rather... Uhh... Light.02:29
infinityOh, nevermind, that one was done with the old kernel-package...02:30
infinityThis was produced by kernel-package version 9.001ubuntu17.02:30
infinitySo, here's hoping the 2.6.17-5 kernels are less broken.02:31
BenCnew kernel package is good03:04
BenCand about 10 minutes from uploading new kernel03:04
zulyay03:07
BenChopefully this will be the knot-1 kernel03:21

krieblyHi there. Do you folks know when the linux-source-2.6.15 package will be patched for latest local exploit (http://www.frsirt.com/english/advisories/2006/2816)?07:48
kriebly(or if it will be patched)07:49
BenCkriebly: It will be uploaded shortly07:50
BenChow long it takes to get in the archive and available is up to security team07:51
krieblygood to know. Thank you!07:51
krieblyi justed wanted to find out, to see if I need to bug our developers to make some authentication utility compatible with the current kernel07:51
BenCthere is  a local workaround, made possible with some mount options07:55
krieblymounting /proc a certain way? would that break anything important?07:57
zulBenC: why is there flavour specific linux-headers?07:59
BenCzul: because the .config's are different08:00
zulah ok08:00
BenCzul: they are created in such a way that only files that are different from linux-headers-2.6.1x-x are actually in the flavour specific packages08:00
zulok because im just working on the xen-headers right now08:01
