[02:33] troy_s, how can I be an ubuntu-artworker? :) [02:34] troy_s, I'm actually a tango artist [02:36] troy_s, see my work http://vdepizzol.wordpress.com/ [02:36] :) [02:52] we would _love_ to have you vde [02:52] but the issue of development lies at the top currently vdepizzol [02:53] sabdfl has chosen to have the fellow who 'designed' the dapper look design the feisty 'anchors' -- usplash, wallpaper, gdm, logon splash [02:53] and have the community build 'around' them once they land. [02:53] it is a closed process currently. [02:53] troy_s, ok [02:53] I'll keep helping projects like Ekiga, Gnumeric so :) [02:54] that said, there are several community based looks being developed [02:54] and they would probably dearly appreciate your participation [02:56] vdepizzol: dude, saw your gnumeric stuff, nice work [02:58] yen it is very nice [02:59] link? [03:08] andreasn, thank you :) I saw your comment :P [03:08] troy_s, http://vdepizzol.wordpress.com/2006/12/16/gnumeric-artwork/ [03:08] oh, I did a comment :)) [03:12] I must be like one of a total of five users of gnumeric or something ;) [03:13] troy_s: build around in what way? === andreasn_ [n=andreas@h37n1fls31o839.telia.com] has joined #ubuntu-artwork [03:56] good morning all === andreasn_ is now known as andreasn === newz2000 [n=matt@12-216-147-124.client.mchsi.com] has joined #ubuntu-artwork [06:43] Have you guys had good luck opening inkscape svg files in illustrator? Do layers and things show up as expected? [06:46] the layers do not work as they did in inkscape [06:46] and illustrator cannot edit any gradients that go to transparency [06:46] nor can it edit lines with gradients [06:48] :-( [06:48] ok, thanks [06:51] there is any possibility to feisty come with beautiful icons in gaim? I don't want to change everything to a different colour ... just "polish" it up a bit [10:37] the new style will not be so grey [10:37] but the new action icons will be [10:37] which is very osx like [10:37] http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/ff/Opendialog5536.png <-- the screenshot I saw today [10:37] yeah, but I am not so big on the blue-green either [10:38] typically, kde is alway blue [10:38] the nice thing about grey is that is really neutral [10:38] and if the theme is made well with grey it can always be tweaked to be another color using a color-scheme [10:38] document canvas - white, text - black, the interface - grey [10:39] andreasn: yes, but you see, I become quite bored with the grey all around [10:39] I assume there is a lot of color schemes on kde-look.org [10:39] and several in kde itself as well [10:40] although those could use some updating [10:40] mhb: perhaps you would be interested in updating/adding new color schemes? [10:40] kwwii: could be [10:40] ;-) [10:40] see! I can always find work for someone :-) [10:40] kwwii: is it possible to have a button with a different color than the disabled box/menu etc.? [10:41] kwwii: or have gradients there? [10:41] the buttons in kde can have their own color, yes [10:41] kde4 will be much more flexable anyway [10:42] as we redid all the color scheme stuff (not sure how much is implemented so far though) [10:42] if you are interested in working on future kde stuff I suggest working on kde4 anyway [10:42] as we are not planning on changing a lot in regards to kde3 anymore [10:44] thanks
