rotarychainsawI hate to ask this in here, please don't kill me, but...07:06
rotarychainsawIs there something wrong with the Edgy kernels? I have been having some trouble with an old nvidia card and in my search around the web it seems that all the other people sharing my problem are on edgy as well.07:07
rotarychainsawNVRM xid : xxxxxx blah blah blah, in the kernel log and a hard lock. Just wondering if this has ever been brought up? Thanks.07:08

raphinkinfinity, BenC, fabbione, lamont ?01:24
ivokswhere does it panic?01:24
fabbioneraphink: i don't run dapper on amd64.. so no idea01:24
raphinkivoks: uncompressing / I think01:25
raphinkcan't check, I just helped my mom fix that by moving back to 2.6.15-2701:25
raphinkand I didn't see the trace myself01:25
raphinkkernel panic with a security upgrade in LTS is pretty bad :(01:26
ivoksi have one amd6401:26
infinityThat sounds more like the initramfs wasn't generated, or can't be found.01:26
ivoksi agree with infinity 01:26
ivoksthis isn't kernel issue01:26
ivoks(directly)01:26
raphinkhmmm01:27
raphinkindeed there's no init01:27
raphinkno initrd for this kernel01:28
raphinksorry, my fault :(01:29

pureshiya, I'm running Ubuntu Dapper(6.10) and installed the 2.6.20 kernel, and am getting a bug in my libata.ko module when loading sata_sil.ko for my sata drive.  I'm actually running the latest patch version hoping that would fix it, anyone know anything about this? 03:36

BenCzul: ubuntu/* would be moved into a separate package05:53
BenCI wish launchpad supported triggers so you could force the rebuild of other packages from one upload05:54
