[07:28] <aedes> hmm, well I've got 6.10 on there now and lvm seems to be working fine.  An even bigger issue with 7.04 was when I upgraded the kernel it wouldn't boot, and complained about not finding any array to assemble in the mdadm.conf (the root fs is not on raid)

[07:38] <fabbione> because edgy had 6 weeks less of development and stabilization. feisty is not out yet

[07:39] <aedes> hmm, what kind of sacrifices are made by choosing dapper? (less new functionality?)
[07:40] <fabbione> almost none and i would look at the benefits of an LTS
[07:40] <fabbione> not having to upgrade a server every 18 months rock
[07:41] <aedes> I'm not sure what LTS provides, I'm not sure if I'll be using it.  This is a personal server
