tackatyes11:42
rockprincesshow's the feedback for marble so far? I'm hoping to install it on monday :)11:43
tackatfeedback is great :)11:45
tackatIt will be even better for the next release 0.4 which I plan to release mid-April ;)11:46
rockprincessi've read in the kde-edu mailinglist that they're having been discussion about mixing marble and kgeography into one application! is that still on? i'd like to see that happening, becuase i think both are very good and useful applications!11:46
tackatIt would make pretty much sense as KGeography doesn't really have a map widget11:47
rockprincesscool :) keep it up :)11:47
tackatWith Marble you can do much more stuff without having to create special content.11:48
tackatand it takes less diskspace for doing that11:48
tackatIf you take a look at http://developer.kde.org/~tackat/marble/marble14.png for example, the map is actually a grayscale map on the harddisk which needs less space than a colourful one. That map gets recoloured and bumpmapped on the fly11:50
rockprincesswow cool!11:51
tackatSo it's pretty efficient11:51
