squirrelpimpso windows look totally screwed when changing workspaces02:08
squirrelpimpany ideas?02:08
Gerrohuh?02:09
Gerrodon't quite understand what happened..02:10
squirrelpimpi switch workspaces (mousewheel or keyboard or clicking in the changer) and windows don't get a redraw-signal or something similiar02:11
squirrelpimpso for example mplayer-windows loose the decoration and gaim-conversations become almost totally blank until somewrite something and then only the changed line gets displayed02:11
GerroTheSheep: oh hey just wanted to say thanks for help you gave yesterday, sysv-rc-conf worked nicely. Few things I couldn't remove though but I'll get around to that myself.02:12

squirrelpimpwith ctrl + alt i get 80x25 system-consoles02:14

TheSheepsquirrelpimp: you see, we don't have hundreds of people complaining about it here, so it must be something specific02:20

squirrelpimpTheSheep: don't know that, so i guess no02:21

grazieaabrahao: vnc is a client/server technologies...maybe the link above helps10:06

ThatTallGuyPing:  Anybody here familiar with the sound bug in Feisty Fawn?11:47
maxamillionThatTallGuy: "the sound bug"?11:50
crimsunI can think of oh, six or seven hundred sound bugs.11:51
maxamillioncrimsun: i was just about to ping you once i got specifics :)11:51
crimsunI have a highlight on 'sound'.11:51
Lectusmaxamillion: XMMS11:52
ThatTallGuyOK, I have a Thnkpad x22 which was working fine, soundwise, under Edgy Eft Ubuntu...11:52
Lectusmaxamillion: But I can try other if there is a plugin for other player11:53
ThatTallGuyHad a HD go belly-up and so replaced it with a fresh install of FF Xubuntu (only 256M on the machine.)11:53
ThatTallGuyThere is no longer any sound.  Alsamixer reports "No such device".11:54
maxamillionLectus: xmms is the most likely to have a plugin ... lemme check11:54
crimsunThatTallGuy: pastebin ``lspci -v''11:54
ThatTallGuylspci gives11:54
ThatTallGuy00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801CA/CAM AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 01)11:54
maxamillionLectus: its in a package called gaim-xmms-remote and the plugin allows you to control xmms11:55
ThatTallGuy00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801CA/CAM AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 01)11:55
ThatTallGuy        Subsystem: IBM ThinkPad T23 (2647-4MG) or A30/A30p (2652/2653)11:55

ThatTallGuy        I/O ports at 18c0 [size=64] 11:55
crimsunThatTallGuy: ok, then pastebin ``cat /proc/asound/cards && amixer -c0''11:55
ThatTallGuyFirst cmd gives     0 [I82801CAICH3   ] : ICH - Intel 82801CA-ICH311:56
ThatTallGuy                      Intel 82801CA-ICH3 with CS4299 at 0x1c00, irq 1111:56
ThatTallGuy2nd cmd is large, want it all?11:56
crimsunThatTallGuy: don't paste here.  Use http://pastebin.ca11:56
Lectusmaxamillion: I'll try. Thank you11:57
ThatTallGuyhttp://pastebin.ca/50114811:57
maxamillionLectus: no problem11:58
Lectusmaxamillion: It didn't work. it says I'm using gaim-gtk, but it requires gtk. Also it seems it's not what I'm searching for. This looks like a plugin to control XMMS from Gaim. I really want a plugin to show the music name I'm listening to on the nickname message.12:05
