[04:34] <btm_> the problem I'm having is finding a hook between download-installer and partman such that i can overwrite partman-base.postinst after anna-install runs. i was thinking about a udeb with a higher menu item and a postconf that would overwrite it, but it looks like that means I'll have to mangle the Packages file / Release / signatures as I don't see a way to get anna to install local udebs.
