thisfredhi, quick question about the translations in launchpad. I know I've asked this before, but is there *any* way of getting feedback when uploading translation templates? Right now it's upload and pray, or walk through the entire queue and see either 'Needs Review' or 'Failed' but not the reason why. It would be very valuable to get email updates of what happens, and more importantly, why ;)10:01
thisfredmaybe I just don't understand and I'm using the tools in the wrong way, but since our code isn't in bazar, the only way to update the template to reflect ui changes, seems to be to upload a new .pot, except that takes a very long time to go through, if it does, and since it fails or succeeds silently, I'm never sure what happens.10:03

thisfredcarlos, thanks, ok, well, I'll have to look then, I don't remember ever getting a message, and I know some of them failed...10:55
carlosthisfred: about having slow imports... it shouldn't happen, once the first template is approved10:55
carlosit should handled automatically and it shouldn't take more than a 2-3  hours (in worse case)10:56

statikLaibsch: I think it shows you the appropriate milestones, etc for a particular project04:56
LaibschAre you going to support other backends than bazaar?04:57
LaibschIt would certainly be a very strong argument if the bug tracker and monotone were integrated04:58
statikLaibsch: I don't think we will be integrating nearly as tightly with monotone as we do with bazaar04:58
statikwe still have plenty of work to do with bazaar integration to make it rock04:59
statikLaibsch: however, if you have ideas for specific things you want to integrate, we have some hooks which would make some level of integration possible04:59
statikfor example, XMLRPC api for bugs, and email based interface for controlling the bug system04:59
Laibschsure, I guess bazaar is where the focus is going to be 05:00

jwendellHi, folks05:00
jwendellisn't there a bug tracker for bugs.php.net ?05:01
statikLaibsch: right. but we also want to expose hooks so if you want to integrate yourself then you can05:01
Laibschstatik: Well, for example, if there was a message "Committed in 123418972364817263897161gfdgjs1823764" this would become an URL that displays a monotone diff of the change that commit made05:02
LaibschAnd I guess other ideas can be stolen from the bazaar integration ;-)05:02
jwendellmatsubara, ?05:02
matsubarajwendell: hello!05:03
jwendellhello!05:03
jwendellmatsubara, how can bugs.php.net get in launchpad bug trackers?05:04
Laibschstatik: Anywhere I can read about this integration between bazaar and launchpad?  I have never used bazaar.05:04
matsubarajwendell: what kind of bug tracker is that? (Seems to be some custom one)05:05
jwendellmatsubara, yeah, indeed05:05
statikLaibsch: it is still a work in progress, not sure that we have an overview yet, but I can look05:05
jwendelli don't know05:05
statikLaibsch: two examples are the 'bzr commit --fixes" option, where you can specify that a particular revision fixes a bug05:05
statikLaibsch: and also the bazaar codehosting and codebrowsing support. So you can push your bazaar branches to launchpad, and then browse them online05:06
matsubarajwendell: you can file a bug requesting that we add support for it. similar to bug 4538605:07

LaibschI wanted to check out bughelper, but there is no edgy package07:01
LaibschThus, I followed https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BugHelper/doc/getting-started?action=show&redirect=BugHelper%2Fdoc and got http://paste.stgraber.org/160807:01
Laibschnot a branch?07:02

Laibschpochu: In what way should the wiki be updated?07:12
LaibschI tried to figure this out myself but failed07:12
LaibschWhy would you check out with the LP name anyways?07:12

LaibschWell, I followed it to the letter and got the mistake as paste07:19

LaibschI think I'll try and compile the package07:19

spivLaibsch: there is no ~bughelper-dev/bughelper/bughelper.main, but the listing at https://code.launchpad.net/~bughelper-dev/ shows that there is a ~bughelper-dev/bughelper/main07:31
LaibschI have checked out main fine07:32
LaibschI wonder how to fix the wiki now to make it easier for the next guy around07:33
spivIt appears that wiki page needs updating.07:33
LaibschACK07:33
Laibschpochu said it was fine, though07:33
spivThe line that says:07:33
spivbzr checkout sftp://YOUR-LAUNCHPAD-ID@bazaar.launchpad.net/~bughelper-dev/bughelper/bughelper.main07:33

spivbzr checkout sftp://YOUR-LAUNCHPAD-ID@bazaar.launchpad.net/~bughelper-dev/bughelper/main07:33
LaibschLet me try if that works07:33

LaibschSame problem07:34
LaibschOh, wait07:34
spivLaibsch: are you a member of bughelper-dev?07:34
Laibschyes, same problem07:35

LaibschIf that is a necessity it should say so07:35
Laibschor better yet not include such references07:35
spivIt is at the moment.07:35
spivjml has code in the works that'll change that.07:35
pochuLaibsch: try "bzr co http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~bughelper-dev/bughelper/main"07:35
LaibschOK, then I think just a plain checkout without ID is the best suggestion07:35
