BdonohueIs there a KDE Folding@Home client?06:46
MinatakuIf there isn't, it doesn't have to be a KDE one06:48
BdonohueI mean, is there a GUI client at all?06:49
BdonohueOr a package, or just installing from source06:49
BdonohueBecause I'll go and do that, I was just wondering first.06:49
=== Minataku shrugs
MinatakuDoes it really need a GUI client?06:50
MinatakuI'd check their website06:50
MinatakuI'm sure there's a bunch of clients there06:50
rathelIs there away to make a backup script that copys everything in a directory and puts it in like .tar.bz2 format? and if you run the script again It'll only overwrite the changed files? It was easy to make one with RAR on Windows, dunno where to begin here.06:50
c1|freakyman tar gives u all the info u need forthat06:51
BdonohueNah, not really, but there's only one console client.06:51
BdonohueI just wanted some pretty visualization.06:52

BdonohueHahaha06:53
MinatakuhitmanWilly: Indeed06:53
BdonohueI'm not too sure how happy I am with KDE... I just switched back today after using Gnome for three months.06:53
BdonohueI think I need to do some customizing.06:54
hitmanWillyBdonohue, that is one thing kde is good with06:54
MinatakuThe other thing it's good with is practically everything else06:55
BdonohueI've been using Ubuntu since Hoary, haha, I've experimented, but went back to Gnome all the time. Hated flux, didn't mind KDE but things don't seem natural.06:55
MinatakuBut then it's easy to be better than GNOME06:55
Minataku(Sorry, I _hate_ GNOME)06:55
BdonohueI definitely don't mind KDE, that said.06:55
=== hitmanWilly is using window maker atm
BdonohueBut I think the biggest thing for me is when I'm using KDE I still have GTK programs I use, but if I'm using Gnome I never use QT stuff.06:56
BdonohueLike I didn't even need it installed.06:56
BdonohueAny of the libraries I mean.06:56
MinatakuHeh06:56
MinatakuThat's because there's a lot of GTK programs06:56
MinatakuNot as many Qt ones06:56
MinatakuI must say, in my fresh install of Gentoo here, I'm much happier with GTK06:57
MinatakuIn my last install practically everything GTK would crash when doing any of the following actions:06:57
Minataku> Clicking buttons06:58
Minataku> Clicking other things06:58
Minataku> Thinking about the running application06:58
Minataku> Thinking about other applications06:58

jthomasdoes anyone know why my computer might have HUNDREDS of open IP connections?  when I kick off everyone from my router (OpenWRT on Linksys) it says that I have upwards of 800 active IP connections; closing KTorrent drops this a lot but still I have over three hundred; KTorrent only lists having three connections/peers when its open.06:46

Absortoso be gone firefox07:12

a-865hard to get rid of entirely07:14

Absortoubuntu-desktop, which is gnome, depends on all the gnome stuff, so you can just apt-get install ubuntu-desktop and everything gets installed. But I need it the other way around, which is... apt-get remove some-basic-gnome-lib so that everything that depends on THAT gets removed.07:16
