Simon80can someone look at the pbuilder patch I posted to the mailing list months ago? I don't know how I'm supposed to bring attention to it if posting to the ML didn't work06:15

mdkeSimon80: the packaging guide maintainer is too busy to take care of it at the moment. But, if you repost to say that your patch wasn't looked at, hopefully someone will be able to look at it - don't give up, and don't be afraid of posting more than once08:35
mdkeSimon80: perhaps nixternal will be able to look at your patch08:46
mdkehe has some interest in packaging08:46
Simon80thanks08:47

nixternalSimon80: I will take a look at your patch here in a few...yes mdke, my interest in packaging has lead me to MOTU :)05:23
jjessenixternal: my password aint working :(05:29
Admiral_Chicagoi thought you remembered it.05:32
jjessei had it reset, but the one they sent me isn't working05:33
Admiral_Chicagooh... :\05:33
Admiral_Chicagognome is apparently using their own documentation markup now, that should make it fun us to integrate better with GNOME docs....05:35
jjesseyeah i saw that on Riddell's blog05:35
j1mcaw, that stinks.05:35
Admiral_Chicagolearning docbook is a task enough, good luck to the other people that plan to work on GNOME docs.05:36
Admiral_Chicagoi've learned docbook is pretty intuative (imho) if you put the <> </> in the right place05:37
j1mcin reading his post . . . the change doesn't sound so bad . . . it's just that it is change.  we'll have to adapt.05:38
jjessei think we are starting to move closer to a kubuntu-docs team then if kde is still using docbook and gnome is using somehting new05:40
=== jono [n=jono@ubuntu/member/jono] has joined #ubuntu-doc
j1mcjjesse: don't you already have a kubuntu-docs team?05:44
jjessepeople that work on kubuntu docs can also work on ubuntu-docs, we use the same repo, same irc channel, and same launchpad team05:44
j1mcheh... kind of weird how there's a xubuntu-doc team on launchpad, but no similar setup for kubuntu-docs.05:46
nixternaljjesse: hehe :)05:47
jjesseserious05:47
nixternalj1mc: there is also an edubuntu-doc team, but they have since been absorbed05:48
j1mcah...05:48
j1mci don't know... i do like having just one central IRC conversation point to discuss docs.05:48
j1mcif the doc-making process gets to splintered between gnome / kde / whatever, though . . .05:49
j1mci can see how it might get complicated.05:49
jjessei agree, but if gnome is moving to a new markup system, then ubuntu-dcos will be following wouldn't it?05:49
j1mci would assume so.  from riddel's post it made it sound like this new structure would be something that KDE doc workers could use, too.  ?05:51
j1mcall doc information could be available for any app across linux. ?05:51
j1mci'll have to look into it further05:52
j1mci'm really just getting the hang of docbook anyway.  :)05:52

mdkejjesse: I dunno. Sounds like you have the wrong password. Sure there wasn't a later email with a new password? You've had a few...11:03
jjessei know i've had a few, i created a new rt request which was acted upon11:03
mdkehave you checked to make sure you're using the most recent?11:04
jjessewell it was the one sent two days ago11:04
mdkeah, you mean you did another rt request yourself11:05
mdkeok, I guess it went wrong then11:05
