[01:49] ah, k [01:49] For local communication we can use dbus, but we will need to rewrite the communication in the future. [01:52] Pyro is very interesting but potentially insecure (as raw sockets), so if we are really going to keep it we'll need to use openssh + password IMHO. [06:46] you might, just for the heck of it [06:46] hmmm, how do I do that now.... [06:49] YA RLY [06:50] My video mode is hozded [06:52] Wonder if it works with the -x [06:52] two shakes [06:53] Yup, if you run it with -f -x, then it pauses for a sec, but then comes back [06:54] If you have problems starting GCompris in fullscreen, try the -x option to disable XF86VidMode [06:54] so I'd say there's some bugs in there opposite that. [06:54] Is gcompris in C or python? [06:55] hmm [06:55] I think both [06:56] sbalneav: does -f mess up other apps in gcompris [06:56] Hmm, lemme check [07:01] Other things seem to work, from quick testing [07:05] LaserJock: still there? [07:09] strace or the like would show us what's going on [07:09] well, I've had it do it in windowed mode [07:09] and some people have reported it freeze, others a crash [07:10] I'd have to poke into it. [07:10] but I suspect a dangling pointer, or buffer overrun somewhere. [07:10] hmm [07:10] well, for now I think it was an ok idea to make it a depends [07:11] Solves the problem short term. [07:25] that doesn't work either, full screen [07:25] yeah, that's what I figured [07:27] Problem appears to be the fullscreen stuff [07:27] Maybe it doesn't like the newer xorg [07:28] FWIW, tuxpaint itself works as expected in --fullscreen --800x600 [07:29] Well, 12:30 am here [07:29] I'm beat [07:29] yeah [07:29] I'm gonna head to bed.
