Hobbsee wasn't too sure on the seed generation with it in the submission, and recommended to have you double check it [10:51] cjwatson, well i'm going to head to bed, i'll try to touch bases with you tomorrow on this. if you get a chance in the meanwhile, here is the revu url: http://revu.tauware.de/details.py?upid=6269. The same code is within the two bzr branches i posted in here last night. === dns_56 [n=dns@ppp246-215.static.internode.on.net] has joined #ubuntu-installer [12:29] i have software raid 5 and lvm over the md device where i currently have fedora and a few partitions, i would like to install ubuntu but feisty does not detect the lvm2, what should i do install gutsy? use debian install cd? debootstrap from fedora? [12:32] does gutsy detect it? [12:32] (you only said that feisty didn't, but that would be a strange way to go about installing gutsy anyway :-)) [12:33] oh, I think I misunderstood you due to punctuation [12:33] anyway, yes, please see if gutsy does better [12:34] not tried gutsy yet i am wondering if i should try it but i wonder if it has lvm2 support first [12:38] lvm2 support should have been in for ages; you're hitting a bug rather than fundamental-lack-of-support [12:39] well i did totally screw up my software raid, then i installed fedora on raid and lvm, so it could be fedora is too new or something [12:39] i'll try gutsy [01:25] if you are still around i have tried gutsy and it has not detected the software raid properly === veriya [n=veriya@60.51.113.28] has joined #ubuntu-installer [01:32] hello [01:37] i have a software raid / installer bug i think === veriya [n=veriya@60.51.113.28] has left #ubuntu-installer [] === blackskad [n=blackska@d54C4A53D.access.telenet.be] has joined #ubuntu-installer === mpt_ [n=mpt@121-72-130-73.dsl.telstraclear.net] has joined #ubuntu-installer === cr3 [n=marc@modemcable178.77-70-69.static.videotron.ca] has joined #ubuntu-installer === alsaram [n=asanchez@157.Red-80-38-109.staticIP.rima-tde.net] has joined #ubuntu-installer === avoine [n=avoine@69.70.0.36] has joined #ubuntu-installer === cjwatson_ [n=cjwatson@82-69-40-219.dsl.in-addr.zen.co.uk] has joined #ubuntu-installer === cjwatson [n=cjwatson@82-69-40-219.dsl.in-addr.zen.co.uk] has joined #ubuntu-installer === superm1 [i=malimonc@ubuntu/member/superm1] has joined #ubuntu-installer [07:29] cjwatson, I wanted to follow up regarding that metapackage, would you be able to add any comments for it? [07:39] superm1: please mail me details [07:40] cjwatson, Ok. [07:51] So a bit of an update. The automation stuff appears to be pretty much done except for the fact that my wonky code for migration-assistant in Ubiquity doesn't work with page skipping at all at the moment. [07:53] I can work on fixing that when I'm done with my current bug fixing activities, or I can merge the changes and make --no-migration-assistant the default for the time being, also when I'm done bug fixing. [07:53] to clarify the latter option, I'd still work on fixing the m-a mess [08:18] you could make --automatic imply --no-migration-assistant [08:19] that seems reasonable [08:25] ok, I'll do that for the time being. I'll commit the changes after I'm done with this bug then.
