[08:53] shriphani: he hasnt been here since sept 5 at least [08:53] so 4 days. [08:53] hmm, email might be a good way to contact anyways, i think [08:54] i have been mailing him. [08:54] tho irc would be a more comfortable way of communicating. [08:54] hmm, he is pretty regular on the mailing list. [08:54] maybe real life caught up :) [08:54] he sure is. [08:55] yesterday we exchanged messages as if we were on irc with a 10 sec. lag. [08:55] On the 6th, he made a change to a package. [11:55] shriphani: he's not on irc much, unfortunately [11:56] shriphani: can we help at all? [11:59] huh. no. I don't have any troubles here. I just felt that IRC would be a better way of communicating than by sending email to each other every 10 seconds. [11:59] it didn't come that close though... but it did get to a 1 minute gap.. [12:00] shriphani: yeah, I have the same thing [12:00] I'll suggest it to him === dappermuis [n=kinus@196.209.165.157] has joined #ubuntu-doc === TLE [n=kenneth@217.74.211.126] has joined #ubuntu-doc === robg` [n=robert@89.100.132.29] has joined #ubuntu-doc === Gwaihir [n=Gwaihir@ubuntu/member/gwaihir] has joined #ubuntu-doc === froud [n=sean@dsl-242-191-75.telkomadsl.co.za] has joined #ubuntu-doc === Klau1 [n=klaus@pD9E4C8D7.dip.t-dialin.net] has joined #ubuntu-doc [04:00] Hello, there! Is there someone here having write access in https://help.ubuntu.com/7.04/printing/C/scanning.html ? [04:01] Nobody? [04:03] Anyway, the issue is the following: In #ubuntu-de I just got a problem solved, where my USB external HD wouldn't appear in /dev, because, after all, my USB scanner (CanoScan LiDE 20) was USB powered and sucking too much of the USB's power. [04:03] The helpful guy also told me that USB-powered scanners were generally a bad idea. So I thought, someone should insert this note at an appropriate place in the documentation wiki [04:04] So even though nobody is here to answer right now, I hope you can still read this and take action. [04:04] Thank you! [04:13] Klau1: #ubuntu-doc [04:13] oops.
