ugaguys, after spending some time googling, trying both feisty and gutsy live CDs with no luck to boot properly, I found the solution for my prob...02:12
ugait's an asus board, p5k SE, with an Intel core2 quad, sata disk and DVD connected to IDE02:12

ugathe problem seems that, just like tons of other live CDs, they don't find the DVD drive02:13
ugaI found the solution on some google forum. It prompts for a error msg, but after that it keeps reading the DVD just fine and starts up02:13

_StefanS_mhb: I saw the elephant now, like the wallpaper :)11:21
_StefanS_mhb: a bit dark maybe, but that can probably be adjusted a bit11:22
mhb_StefanS_: sure, that could be adjusted. Do you like it more than the current gutsy wallpaper?11:26
_StefanS_mhb: yep, I think this one has more weight that a few strokes on a blue background11:27
_StefanS_mhb: also signals some humanism to it i think11:27
_StefanS_even though its elephant skin ;)11:27
mhb_StefanS_: I like the idea, too11:27
mhb_StefanS_: hmm, checked the release schedule, it seems tomorrow's the final artwork deadline.11:28
_StefanS_mhb: push push push..  :)11:28
_StefanS_mhb: ask kwwii_ and so on11:28
mhb_StefanS_: heh, I would love to push it, but I don't think Ken could be convinced, he designed the current wallpaper, after all.11:30
_StefanS_yes I knoiw11:30
mhband he has already seen the wallpaper, so I guess he hasn't got as much enthusiasm on pushing it as I do (that is understandable, I'm not a graphic artist)11:31
_StefanS_well..11:33
_StefanS_maybe it could be included as an optional wallpaper in /usr/share/ maybe11:34

mhbkwwii: I just wanted to show that people seem to like the animal-related background idea.12:42
mhbfeel free to ignore me, naturally :o)12:42
kwwiimhb: yeah, I saw that...a few issues though12:43
kwwii1) those backgrounds are only 1280x102412:43
kwwiithat being the most important part...I was going to include them in the default wallpaper set (not set as default, but always installed)12:44
kwwiibut because they are not big enough it won't work12:44
kwwiipersonally, I like the elephant bg as well, but it is a bit too dirty looking for a default wallpaper12:45
kwwiiand we had a long discussion about using animal stuff12:45
kwwiiwith abstract pics we have no worries about cultural connotations12:45
kwwiiwhereas with something specific like an animal we do not know how different cultures will view them12:46
mhbkwwii: ah, thanks for the clarifications. I am not sure about the culture clash, we already have a name that is very culture-based and it is foreign especially in the Western parts of the world, but it doesn't seem to stop Ubuntu user adoption.12:49
