asacMithrandir: isn't there a milestone release for mobile this week as well? any help help needed to sponsor/review packages for that?11:18
Mithrandirasac: next week, with the release.11:26
Mithrandirbut yeah, I'm hoping the moblin people are going to spend a little bit of time to push those updates in soon11:27
asacMithrandir: ok cool. Is there a list of packages that still need to get in?11:30
asacMithrandir: or are most just updates?11:30
Mithrandirmostly updates, but I think we want to get the new UI in too.11:33
asactheme?11:33
Mithrandirwell, the theme too, but that wasn't what I was thinking about.11:33
Mithrandirmobile-clutter-home11:35
asachttp://www.moblin.org/repos/ ... how is it named there?11:36
Mithrandirit's not listed, but it's available if you just mangle the url a bit11:42

asacmdz: did you talk to schrep when you were in mountain view (i think a few month back)? e.g. does he know about our efforts?11:53
mdzasac: no, only John Lilly11:54
mdzasac: and the minimo guy11:55
mdzasac: I have talked with schrep quite a bit in the past about Mozilla and Ubuntu, but not recently, and not since we began the mobile project11:55
asacmdz: ok, i would like to send him a heads-up mail ... unless you want to take-over of course.11:55
mdzasac: john lilly did mention to me their desire to move into mobile, but so far, their work has been on making a small browser11:55
asacmdz: his mail would be schrep@mozilla.com11:56
mdzasac: (tiny screens, tiny storage)11:56

loolMithrandir: That would be the mesa lpia fix: http://people.ubuntu.com/~lool/packages/mesa/7.0.1-1ubuntu3/gutsy-lpia-pbuilder/  Indeed, using a base.tgz works fine; I tried looking into the cowdancer issue, but it seemed subtle and time consuming, so I'll try reproducing with something more traditionnal such as amd64/i386 instead of amd64/lpia and see if it still happens there12:39
Mithrandirlool: can you just post the debdiff there, please?12:40
loolhttp://people.ubuntu.com/~lool/packages/mesa/7.0.1-1ubuntu3/gutsy-lpia-pbuilder/mesa_7.0.1-1ubuntu3.debdiff12:42
Mithrandirthat trivial. :-)12:43
loolYeah :)12:43
loolBut I checked it built fine; I wasn't sure other files didn't need changes too12:43
loolMithrandir: BTW, not sure whether the appropriate dri module will be available, it will only help for installability; the list of files in the package is: http://paste.ubuntu.com/736/12:44
lool(No intel module, but then this might not be required in their case, I don't know)12:45
MithrandirI think we want a dri module for mccaslin12:46
loolDoes Intel engineering work on such code perhaps?12:46
loolI guess they know that they need the userspace counterpart in mesa12:47
Mithrandirthat's for menlow, not mccaslin12:47

bspenceranyone tried the new HTML UI?12:24
bspencerI just realized that our default theme might not be "mobilebasic"   Not sure if it is "Human"12:25
bspencerthe new UI reads the gconf theme value.  12:25
bspencerw/o the right theme default set in gconf the backgrounds of the buttons will be missing.  12:25
bspencerfyi12:25
bspencer:)12:25
bspencerkwwii_, ping   What theme packages will we have ?12:51
bspencer(theme and icon)12:51
bspencerfor example.  kwwii_theme, hicolor icon pkg, kwwii_icon_theme, hildon-icon theme12:52
suihkulokkibspencer: I notice you have a quite modified data/*.conf set in hildon-desktop12:52
bspenceroops, I meant 1 theme, and 3 icon packages which fall back 12:52
bspencersuihkulokki, hello.  12:52
bspencerhave we met?12:53
bspencermodified from the dfeault hildon?12:53
suihkulokkiI don't think so12:53
suihkulokkiyes12:53
bspencermovial12:53
suihkulokkiI guess it would make more sense to maintain the UME and maemo versions in separate directories12:53
bspencersuihkulokki, yes, definatley12:53
bspencerwe actually made a proposal for a patch for UME stuff in hildon12:53
bspencerthey responded by suggesting that a particular UI layout shouldn't be part of the upstream Hildon12:53
bspencerand they were going to reorganize it a little12:54
bspencerthat's the last I heard about it12:54
bspencerit would be nice if it were a separate package I think12:54
bspencerso we didn't have to  these UI-specific changes upstream12:54
suihkulokkiwell, separate package would be even better12:54
suihkulokkisince those config files are heavily dependant on implementation and screen size12:55
bspenceryes, that is another problem12:56
bspencerHildon now supports auto-stretching the panel graphics12:57
suihkulokkihow I noticed - I was trying to merge the latest upstream code tu ubuntu/debian branches..12:57
bspencerso we specify 800x480, but if the screen is 1024x600 then it will stretch them12:57
suihkulokkiconflict hell12:57
bspenceroh, we are doing the same work too12:57
bspencerI asked horace here to get the latest Hildon and see what needed to be changed wrt ubuntu's version12:57
bspencermainly the data folder12:58
bspencerthere are a few small changes elsewhere iirc12:58
suihkulokkinot much seems changed.. mostly bugfixes.12:58
bspencerright, that's what Nokia guys said12:58
bspenceranyone here played with the microphone on the Q1 ? 01:01
