[06:22] <evand> those are kernel cmdline arguments
[06:22] <evand> hit F6 at the isolinux CD bootloader
[06:22] <evand> and add them there, before the --
[06:23] <evand> mirkobuholzer: note you can also use 'automatic-ubiquity' in place of 'noninteractive' if you want a stripped down GUI while you install, rather then just text running across the screen.

[05:47] <jauchter> getting a invalid compression type err=1 error and system halts
[05:48] <jauchter> and when its uncompressing the kernel, its does so extremely slow... takes almost a minute showing progress in chunks
[06:02] <evand> check the CD for defects, try burning at a lower speed, check the md5sum of the ISO image

[06:05] <jauchter> running a memtest... 86 percent through, but I dont think thats the issue
[06:06] <jauchter> btw -  checking cd for defects throws the same issue
[06:06] <jauchter> burning at a lower speed... I guess I can try the next lower

[06:07] <jauchter> md5 is good
[06:18] <jauchter> 36x, no luck
