[00:32] Hi all. Just wanted to confirm whether it is possible to create a gateway server with only 1 NIC (I don't think it is, but would like to check) [00:33] I'm pretty sure you can by binding both the internal and external networks to the NIC. [00:33] It's better and easier to use two NICs, however. [00:34] definently easier to do with 2 nics besides nics are dirt cheap [00:35] Yeah, I'm short on NICs at the moment. :-P When you say bind both internal and external...how would I go about that? === Pumpernickle is now known as Pumpernickel [00:39] just get a managed switch and use vlans :-) [00:39] Actually since I'm doing this on a VM I just realized I can add another network adaptor. *Slaps head*. Thanks guys. [00:40] lol [05:57] Hrmmph... kvm reboots my machine when I run an image. [05:59] * antdedyet heads off to ubuntuforums.org [08:54] How hard is it to configure a relay smtp mail server? === MenZano is now known as MenZa [14:02] * TwigEther waves [14:03] I'm having a bit of trouble with my ubuntu server install, specifically with mdadm. Every time I reboot, if I want to use mdadm I have to "dpkg-reconfigure" it to get device nodes created and for mdadm --monitor to start running. Anyone else had similar problems? :o [18:02] hello === ember_ is now known as ember
