[00:25] bryce: thanks, although we are just one group out of ten that are in this [00:25] the record is some 214 hours, and we are trying to do 240 (ie. ten days) [00:26] and we had to do 24h, still 13.5h left but I just got home and left other to finish it off [00:27] I took some pictures to prove it, but we'll see how long it takes to actually get them published (same hold to the photos I took at UDS :) [02:51] awesome [02:51] tjaalton: my girlfriend is big into karaoke (karaoketerri@yahoo.com) [05:13] New bug: #39530 in wacom-tools (main) "xorg.conf "TPCButton" option does not work" [Medium,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/39530 [07:05] bryce: heh, so you should get singstar, it's great fun :) [07:05] heh maybe [07:06] there is some freeware game for windows available, maybe for linux too [07:06] like the frets on fire is a version of guitar hero [07:07] ultrastar-ng, hmm [07:08] ..and it's apt-get'able ;) [07:08] heh [07:08] yeah we don't have any windows in my house anymore [07:09] well, except for the ones you see through [07:09] I've got two installations, one on the laptop for a car diagnostics program, and one on the desktop that I can't even boot :) [07:10] but I'd really like to play something again, so PS3 is on the list [07:12] you know, for the style of games I like (turn based strategy like civilization, HOMM, etc.) the don't really make those anymore, even for Windows [07:13] I do have a windows hard drive in a drawer with a bunch of older strategy games installed [07:14] but linux actually has a sufficient number now, and I found a Linux ported version of HOMM by Loki on an auction site earlier, so I'm fairly well set. Plus a lot of them run under wine now. [07:14] but I don't know, I don't really play games as much as I used to [07:15] same here, ENOTIME :) [07:15] but the kids are getting bigger (3 and 1y atm), so there's an excuse to get a console [07:16] yeah wine is getting better and better [07:16] nice [07:19] I should get a new display card because the radeon 8500 can't drive 1920x1200 (getting a new monitor as well), so I can't decide should I get a nvidia 7xxx which can do 3D right now (blob), or a modern radeon which will take a while until it can do the same [07:21] I'd ordered a pair of new widescreen monitors, but the order got canceled (insufficient stock on hand) [07:24] I missed a great deal of a Benq 24" monitor this week, it has the same problems [07:42] some pics, maybe a bit too small: http://users.tkk.fi/~tjaalton/singstar/ [07:44] powered by ubuntu (my ancient T23) :) [07:44] oh, there's a bigger version of every pic if you click on it.. this is the first webfolder I've created with the bibble :) [07:47] awesome, I can show these to terri :-) [07:54] of course :) [07:57] the first picture is a duet of "Smoke on the Water" (Deep Purple) [07:57] cool [11:19] New bug: #175062 in linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22 (restricted) "fglrx driver reports unsupported hardware" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/175062 [14:53] New bug: #33717 in linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22 (restricted) "Screensaver stops working with fglrx drivers" [Medium,Incomplete] https://launchpad.net/bugs/33717 [16:53] New bug: #175114 in xkeyboard-config (main) "backslash symbol is not defined in /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/us (in the "basic" set)" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/175114
