[07:12] <bryce> you know, for the style of games I like (turn based strategy like civilization, HOMM, etc.) the don't really make those anymore, even for Windows
[07:13] <bryce> I do have a windows hard drive in a drawer with a bunch of older strategy games installed
[07:14] <bryce> but linux actually has a sufficient number now, and I found a Linux ported version of HOMM by Loki on an auction site earlier, so I'm fairly well set.  Plus a lot of them run under wine now.
[07:14] <bryce> but I don't know, I don't really play games as much as I used to

[07:15] <tjaalton> but the kids are getting bigger (3 and 1y atm), so there's an excuse to get a console

[07:19] <tjaalton> I should get a new display card because the radeon 8500 can't drive 1920x1200 (getting a new monitor as well), so I can't decide should I get a nvidia 7xxx which can do 3D right now (blob), or a modern radeon which will take a while until it can do the same
[07:21] <bryce> I'd ordered a pair of new widescreen monitors, but the order got canceled (insufficient stock on hand)
