fish__but after reading the (french) error message again a realizied that it is a complet different error ;)13:52

ubotuDebian bug 439816 in f-spot "f-spot: Unhandled exception importing photos from camera" [Important,Open]13:55
persiafish__: I'm confused.  Is the debian bug the same as your bug, or the bug you mistakenly commented?13:55
fish__persia: the debian bug is exacly that what happens here13:55
persiafish__: And there's no Ubuntu bug for that?13:56
fish__afaik not13:56
fish__the important part is: System.OverflowException: Number overflow. at LibGPhoto2.CameraFile.GetDataAndSize () [0x00000]13:57
persiafish__: Well, you can subscribe to the Debian bug, or you can open a new Ubuntu bug and link it to the Debian bug.  If you do the latter, other people will find it when looking for Ubuntu bugs, and Ubuntu developers might help try to fix it.13:57
fish__and is searched for that in the ubuntu launchpad and found nothing13:57
persiaFor your mistaken comment, there's not much you can do.  If it contains specifically misleading information, perhaps you want to add another comment reporting it to be wrong.  If it's not too misleading, you may as well just leave it there.13:58

calc^ that bug pertains to amd64, i clarified it just now21:47
persiacalc: I think that bug pertains to lots of things: there's the oddity with the new flash that was posted to ubuntu-devel@21:49
ubotuNew bug: #176786 in firefox (main) "Firefox closes tab slowly" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/17678621:56
calcpersia: 176778 is what i just filed myself hence it pertaining to amd64 :)21:58
calcpersia: new flashplugin-nonfree needs libpcre.so.3 32bit which doesn't exist on amd6421:58
calcpersia: unless there is a bigger issue at hand?21:58
persiacalc: Well, there's the new Adobe release, which requires some adjustment to konqeror, or it crashes, and doesn't match the md5sums for some versions of flashplugin-nonfree.  I'm not sure of the current exact status, but it may be that there are other issues related to the new version which complicate things (like the libpcre.so.3 one)22:00
calcpersia: oh my bug is also on hardy not gutsy22:01
calcapparently the new version broke gutsy as well22:01
persiacalc: Ah.  Definitely the new upstream then :)22:01
persiaWell, it breaks new installs.  People who have the old upstream can use it.22:01
crimsun"you get what you pay for," eh?22:03
persiaWell, for free-as-in-beer, sometimes it's like drinking from the lake22:06
joumetalbug 96207 could be easy one.22:07
ubotuLaunchpad bug 96207 in pciutils "Feisty package pciutils depends on "obsolete" package" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/9620722:07
joumetaldebian version has already removed obsolete library all architehtures that ubuntu supports.22:08
warp10I have accidentally deleted my secret gpg key. Is there a way to reimport it?22:08
persiajoumetal: Oddly, it is still a dependency in hardy.22:08
persiawarp10: If you have a backup.22:09
warp10persia: I haven't, unfortunately. I used it to sign the CoC, and so it has been uploaded on ubuntu keyserver, but I don't think it can be useful :(22:10
ubotuNew bug: #176800 in amarok (main) "Amarok crashes with certain mp3s" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/17680022:10
persiawarp10: The public key was uploaded.  The secret key is never uploaded.  Maybe you need a new key, and to resign the CoC.  Do you have a revocation certificate?22:10
warp10persia: No, I haven't. I have never fallen in such a problem.22:11
persiawarp10: Ah.  This time, when you make your key, make a revocation certificate & print it out.  Later, if anything happens, you can type it in to tell people that your key is no longer valid.22:12
warp10persia: good hint. Thank you!22:13
tormodhi I see some bugs with a .crash attached. Is there a way to get an automatic apport retrace?22:18
crimsuncalc: is that a bug w/ the binary-only plugin or with the nspluginwrapper source packaging?22:19
=== persia is now known as package
=== package is now known as persia
crimsuncalc: i.e., it's not immediately obvious to me if it can be worked-around with a fix to the latter.22:20
calccrimsun: it appears to be a bug in that someone needs to package libpcre.so.3 for amd6422:21
calcas a ia32 lib thingy22:22
crimsunconcur22:22
calcwhich since flashplugin is the only thing that needs it apparently the person who maintains flashplugin probably should do it and add a depends on it22:22

albert23That seems to be the cause22:23
calcso there needs a package update to depends on libpcre.so.3 and a new libpcre3 32bit on 64bit package22:23
calcor whatever it should be called22:23
albert23you only need the 32 bit version22:23
tormodDo I just need to add the tag "needs-retrace"? Will it work for Feisty crash dumps?22:27
