nealmcb | J_5: I'm not up-to-date on ltsp - I think it is bundled and configured with edubuntu well, but can also be installed on an ubuntu/kubuntu system | 01:18 |
J_5 | nealmcb: i found some info on installing it, im off to try it out :). thanks! | 01:23 |
david____ | Does anyone have a few minutes to help solve a router question... I setup a ubuntu router (shorewall/bind/dhcp3-server). The box has 2 internal interfaced that are bridged. The box works great with clients directly connected. I plugged my wireless linksys router and access to the web from its clients is very very slow. I am looking for some pointers on how to fix this problem. Thx | 07:42 |

lifesf | Fresh Ubuntu-Server 7.10 install (the perfect setup) and ispconfig; i cannot configure my ftp through ispconfig... and still do not entirely understand how to configure it through terminal yet; is there a good alternative other than installing Ubuntu Gui? which would slow down the server? | 16:00 |
lifesf | or simply find out how to add then change/edit users? : at the moment a ftp access to the var/www directory would be incredibly great | 16:03 |
lifesf | my hdd disappeared after giving up on trying to learn most functions in terminal only for server: i had made my hdd mount automatically; it was working fine; then after apt-get install ubuntu-desktop paff it disapeared; is not viewable in ["my" computer] | 17:33 |
h00s | lifesf: if you followed perfect setup and installed ispconfig, ftp is already set up. you access it with user account created for domain | 18:09 |
h00s | lifesf: for creating users, when you create site (new site icon in ispconfig), click on new created site and select tab user & email | 18:14 |
lifesf | when i go to webftp there is nothing | 18:50 |
lifesf | and now because i couldn't manage to get it to work properly... i installed gui and got my ftp working but now my problem is: | 18:50 |
