ubotuDebian bug 455725 in icedove-dev "please make icedove-dev depends on libnspr4-dev" [Normal,Open] http://bugs.debian.org/45572500:38
=== asac_ is now known as asac
jetsaredimasac: I checked into the firebug  thing05:36
jetsaredimturns out that they just had the install.rdf marked wrong and the svn code I based the extension off of is really 1.1.0b1205:37
[reed]asac: do you know jdong?06:22
=== asac_ is now known as asac
Mirvasac: ok, reading backlog now.. so de also, ok, so it's not localization thing then07:48
Mirvasac: ok, the bug sounds out of reach for me, then, but I'll naturally happily test any fixes that may be found.07:52
mdkeasac: I imagine you've seen it already, but just in case you haven't, there are reports of some languages not working at bug 20230108:22
ubotuLaunchpad bug 202301 in mozilla-firefox-locale-all "Firefox not translated/localized" [High,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/20230108:22
Mirvmdke: currently I think localized are de, es, fi, pt, ja, fr, and I think the plan was to have others soon too08:24
Mirvmdke: now there's another bug 218848 , ie. at least fi/de are partially broken08:25
ubotuLaunchpad bug 218848 in firefox "XML error when going to site needing certificate exception when using fi_FI.UTF-8 or de_DE.UTF-8" [Undecided,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/21884808:25
mdkeMirv: ah, I see. thanks08:25
Mirvmdke: updated the bug you mentioned08:28
mdkethanks a lot08:30
ftamozilla bug 41015612:14
ftahm, private12:14
asacdead ;)12:14
asacah12:14
ftaasac, http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=75854412:31
ftaasac, what's wrong with "http://foo" ? I don't get any xml error here14:00
asacyeah14:24
ftaso ?14:25
asacnothing. its broken in current po translations14:29
asacif you scroll a bit back you can see that discussion14:29
asacfr is not whitelisted to use the po mechanism, so its not broken14:30
asaci hope i can find the real reason ... so far i found several bugs, but none of the fixes cured this particular problem14:30
asac(though those fixes are important to have anyway)14:31
=== fta_ is now known as fta
ftaasac, without libflashsupport, my ff3 is freezing instead of crashing, not a real progress :P16:17
fta100% cpu16:18
asacfta: but the testcase is gone?16:33
asaci think what you know see are those effects that were previously hidden by the quick crashes16:34
jetsaredimasac: I think we should pull the firebug package for now16:35
jetsaredimI tried installing the standard xpi from their site and it doesn't seem to work with 3b516:35
asacjetsaredim: what do you mean by "pull" ?16:36
jetsaredimdeactivate for now16:36
asacjetsaredim: but ours work :)16:37
asaccrashes though, but its at least usable to some degree16:37
jetsaredimi mean - there a numerous people reporting that it doesn't work with ff3b516:37
asaci had feedback from users that need that and they say they can handle the crashes, but couldn't handle if the package wasn't available16:37
jetsaredimhmm16:37
jetsaredimi can't get it to work properly on my install16:37
asacjetsaredim: where are those complains?16:38
jetsaredimhttp://groups.google.com/group/firebug16:38
jetsaredimthere is a new version stream coming out - v1.2 which is also in beta - but it appears that people are having issues that too + ff3b516:38
jetsaredimthey did update the svn to reflect the correct version number16:40
jetsaredimso i can update the package for that if you want16:40
jetsaredimand also maybe put the 1.2 package together16:40
jetsaredimbut it seems that people are having problems in general with it16:40
jetsaredimhave to run - but something to think about16:42
asacill be out today for a birthday celebration of a friend16:50
Sergeant_Ponycan I get some help here for Thunderbird and lightning?16:55
asacSergeant_Pony: yes, tomorrow ill be back17:09
asacbut maybe someone else knows. so just ask17:09
=== willguaraldi_ is now known as psf_willguaraldi
Sergeant_Ponyanyone having a problem with Thunderbird freezing randomly?17:59
Sergeant_PonyI also have a question about Lightning... when I set an alarm reminder it freezes and Thunderbird won't restart.18:00
JazzvaSergeant_Pony: Usually, the first thing to try is to run it with clean profile and to see if it crashes. If it doesn't, then the problem may be in some extensions, or the profile might be corrupted in some way. To run profile manager for TB, run from terminal "thunderbird -ProfileManager". When it starts, create a new profile and run TB using it. Play around for a while and see if it still crashes :).18:13
Jazzva(hmm, a bit longer explanation then I expected :))18:13
Sergeant_Ponyok, I'll try it18:14
JazzvaGreat. Good luck :)18:14
