gnomefreak-d22:11
gnomefreakif not i will get to it but as much input i get the  better i will try it on tb3 if i can since it should work out of box without our patch.22:12
ftahm, my tb2 is not configured22:13
gnomefreakfta: make sur eyou ssh key is still on LP page as some of the updates seem to have people removing them again this is #3 for me22:21
ftai've updated my key on lp (but it was still there)22:39
ftaoh, the one from my laptop is gone22:40
gnomefreakwhat is the likely-dup name of tag?22:48
ftano idea22:49
gnomefreakthe one on tags page is telling me it hasnt been defined but i see asac using it all the time22:49
gnomefreaksorry typo22:50
gnomefreakforgot the l22:50
gnomefreakJazzva: i found your duplicate bug22:55
gnomefreakJazzva: bug 190172 is a dup of bug 19288822:56
ubottuLaunchpad bug 190172 in firefox "Firefox flash videos doesn't work with skype (dup-of: 192888)" [Undecided,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/19017222:56

Jazzvagnomfreak: Thanks :)23:04
ftahi Jazzva23:04
JazzvaHello, fta :)23:05
ftaJazzva, are you coming to UDS ?23:05
JazzvaWish I could...23:05
JazzvaMaybe next time :)... If it's not far enough and I have no school work to do :)23:05
ftaoh23:06
Jazzvabug 137993: I'm thinking of this. If we make browsers Recommends, then mozilla-mplayer will be left installed, if the user removes all browsers, or at least those that support mozilla-mplayer23:07
ubottuLaunchpad bug 137993 in mplayerplug-in "mozilla-mplayer unnecessarily depends on gecko browsers" [Low,In progress] https://launchpad.net/bugs/13799323:07
ftaJazzva, where are you from ? Serbia ?23:08
JazzvaIn case we leave all supported browser Depends, then we have the problem when some new broswer comes to ubuntu archives (songbird, for example), the user has no supported browsers installed, but songbird, and wants to install mozilla-mplayer. It will force him to install some of the browsers from Depends, until we add the songbird to the Depends. Any thoughts on this?23:09
Jazzvafta: Yes23:09
ftaok, looking at gmap, it's not as close that i thought23:09
JazzvaHeh :)23:09
ftai've never been to that part of the world (except romania a long time ago)23:11
Jazzvafta: It's ok, I suppose :). I like it23:11
JazzvaI have never been to most of the places :). Just a few surrounding countries, and USA...23:12
ftayeah :) i'm looking at photos (now that gmap has a nice new feature), looks nice23:13
Jazzvafta: http://picasaweb.google.com/jazzva/Spring08 newer pictures :)23:14
ftahm, maybe i should post some of my pics one day23:15
JazzvaI support you in doing that :).23:16
asacgnomefreak: likely-dup is a tag not specific to ubuntu ... its used to signal that a bug is likely a dupe of some other bug ... but the triager setting the tag doesnt know the id yet23:16
ftaoh, asac23:17
gnomefreakasac: i got it :)23:17
ftaasac, are you there yet ? :)23:17

asacah no idea ... dont know cloudfx23:18
gnomefreakhe closes bug because not enough info doesnt even ask for more info23:18
asacwhats his real name?23:18
gnomefreakits a dup most likel of compiz/ff greying out23:18
gnomefreak1 minute looking23:19
gnomefreakhttps://edge.launchpad.net/~nick.ellery23:19
gnomefreakits im assuming nick ellery23:19
asacno, dont know him23:19
ftamaybe a karma hunter ?23:20
gnomefreakok ill keep my eye on bugs with his nick attached due to closing bugs that shoulnt be closed23:20
ftano idea, really, no offense intended23:20
gnomefreakfta: maybe but look at teams hes involved in23:20
asacwell, i have no problems with reducing the open bug count ... if he closes good bugs i would be unhappy though ;)23:21
gnomefreakomg23:21
gnomefreakim gonna cry23:21
gnomefreakbrb i know what he is doing23:21
asacbut right ... we shouldn't allow bugs to be closed deliberately23:21
gnomefreakhes trying to lighten a load of bugs23:22
asac?23:22
gnomefreakI highly doubt this is relative to Ubuntu, but did this error occur only23:22
gnomefreakonce, or on numerous occasions?23:22
gnomefreakcould have asked a better question IMHO23:22
gnomefreakhe didnt close that one23:22
gnomefreaksmoke > look at bug report > comment on bug report23:23
ftaasac, is internet connectivity provided at the hotel ? it looks expensive on their website ?23:27
gnomefreaki think its desktop effects or the theme hes using brb smoke23:27
asacfta: yes. its free ... had to bug them twice ... but finally its unlocked now. noone else had issues ... so it should be23:28
ftaasac, in each room or only a common place ?23:29
Jazzvafta, gnomefreak: You going to UDS?23:29

gnomefreakasac: what are you doing at UDS so early?23:32
* gnomefreak forgot it was next week23:32
ftaFOSSCamp23:33
gnomefreakah23:33
gnomefreakshit wrong bug i think :(23:34
asacyeah ... fosscamp ;)23:35
asaclets see whats going on tomorrow23:35
asacfta: no its wired in the room23:37
ftanice23:37
asacat the conference location there will be wireless23:37
asac... so maybe better to just stay at the room :)23:39
gnomefreakasac: what is the name of the addon installer? go to youtube get offered to install flash?23:39
gnomefreaki think he is confusing the 2 install options23:40
asacthere is a plugin finder wizard23:40
asacand the "Get Extensions" dialog23:40
gnomefreakah ok23:40
asacthe confusion is based on the general confusion about the difference of plugins vs. extensions23:40
asacmaybe we should really consider to package all plugins as extensions23:41
asacand improve the extension dialog23:41
JazzvaJust a heads up... I'll be a bit busier for the weekend. Finally sat down to write this assembler project I have to do... :)23:41
asacJazzva: who asks you do to assembler?23:42
asacfor what?23:42
gnomefreakasac: get rid of the plugin finder if we can as it tells you flash needs to be installed by manually23:42
asacgnomefreak: yeah ... thats a different thing23:42
asacthats the adobe flash detection kit23:42
Jazzvaasac: The professor that teaches system programming. (Dunno if that's the correct translation of the subject :))23:42
asacJazzva: ok :)23:42
asacwhat do you do in assembler?23:43
gnomefreakto use get extensions does it use plugin finder to find what you need to run page? and how does it show up?23:43
JazzvaWe don't program in assembler. We have to write an assembler... basically, a parser that takes input file and makes output file. And it's really the basics. 7 instructions, no macros. That will be second homework, I suppose23:43
asacgnomefreak: the adobe flash detection kit prevents the plugin finder wizard to pop up and instead sends the user to flash site23:43
asacasking them to install it manually23:43
gnomefreakdoes it prompt without you doing anything23:43
gnomefreakoh crap23:44
gnomefreakthats not good23:44
asacJazzva: ah ;O)23:44
asacgnomefreak: i have looked into this and have an idea how to make the flash detection kit void23:44
gnomefreakgood thanks :)23:44
asacnot sure if adobe or mozilla would like that idea ;)23:44
gnomefreakok ill change this bug a bit and make it a wishlist for plugin finder since his other problem is not work aroundable that i know of23:49
asacok off for today ... feel dizzy and will rather read a book to sleep  :)23:51
Jazzvagood night, asac :)23:51
asacJazzva: u2 :)23:51
Jazzvathx23:52
