[14:09] BenC: I posted a test kernel that reverts the scheduler change. it does not look like it has any affect on suspend. Thanks [16:50] heya === asac_ is now known as asac [23:21] good night to all, could I make a question about the latest kernel upgrade available with ubuntu 8.04 LTS? that's... 2.6.24-17 [23:23] what I would like to know is if the latest kernel update is equal to the 2.6.24.7 kernel or it's a lower version, I keep looking at both cat /proc/version and the Makefile in the /usr/src/ hierarchy, but the only number I get is EXTRAVERSION = .3... what does this mean? [23:26] I need this piece of information to be able to make ubuntu serve as a compilation host for making a customized version of Linux, but I would like to use --with-kernel=current parameter, but I need to know if 2.6.24.7 and 2.6.24-17 are matching kernels or are different versions...
