=== papabean is now known as papabean_ === papabean_ is now known as papabean [01:44] * JontheEchidna is having fun with KMessageBox [01:44] Quite a bit different than QMessageBox [01:47] ScottK: perhaps so, but there was no one around yesterday. [01:52] Grah! [01:53] * JontheEchidna is having frustrations getting the confirmation dialog in Jockey to work right with PyKDE [01:54] At least it looks sexier even if it doesn't actually do what it's supposed to. [01:57] * JontheEchidna digs into the ui backend [02:01] old: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Woremar/jockeypyqt4.png [02:01] new, with semi-broken logic: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c355/Woremar/jockeypykde4.png [02:31] Yay for ugly hax === evalles_ is now known as effie_jayx [03:05] What was your ugly hax? [03:06] Oh, it turned out I thought jockey was doing something different than it was [03:06] So I only had to do something a little hacky [03:07] http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~kubuntu-users/jockey/jockey-kde/revision/181 [03:08] The new logic at 195 replaces the old pyqt way of doing things (logic at 197-202 in the old file) [03:09] * JontheEchidna goes to bed [03:09] g'night Jon [07:24] Riddell: apachelogger do u have any plan upgrade to 4.0.84 in intrepid? [07:33] freeflying: haha.. [07:38] akonadi: you're here? :P === akonadi is now known as nihui [09:31] freeflying: isn't .85 available already? [09:33] apachelogger: maybe tomorrow [09:53] apachelogger: 4.0.86 maybe available soon :) [09:54] well, I just need the tarballs and a main sponsor ;-) === xerosis_ is now known as xerosis [13:37] how to get a bug listed in the Kubuntu Hug Day list: https://wiki.kubuntu.org/UbuntuBugDay/20080708 ? [13:39] add it? [13:39] edit the wiki [13:40] oh yes :-) [13:48] done [14:14] Riddell: I'd appreciate it if you'd have a look at what I did to guidance-power-manager on Saturday and make sure that's on the right track. [14:14] Riddell: When a binary goes from arch any to arch all do the old binaries have to manually be removed? [14:52] good mornin' [14:52] moin nixternal [14:52] how was everybodies weekend? [14:54] mine was tiring but great :) [14:55] how about yours [14:56] jjesse_: congratulations again btw :) [14:56] cute kid :P [14:56] (all babies are cute.. sometimes I wish they don't grow up and remain cute forever! [14:57] Jucato: mine was good....had a little 4th of july getaway, did a 100 mile charity ride [14:57] wow! [14:57] did you lose weight in the process? :) [15:01] hey Jucato & nixternal [15:01] hiya Hobbsee! [15:02] hiya Hobbsee [15:02] Jucato: just a bit :) [15:03] heheh [15:11] * ScottK-laptop is merging scribus, just in case someone else was about to jump on it. [15:24] Jucato: thanks === jjesse_ is now known as jjesse [15:57] apachelogger: I just uploaded stjerm (bug 216603) to revu. Would you like to review it for me? Also: see my comment in revu. [15:57] Launchpad bug 216603 in ubuntu "[needs-packaging] stjerm" [Wishlist,In progress] https://launchpad.net/bugs/216603 [16:35] Would somebody mind reviewing my package (a Qt IDE)? http://revu.ubuntuwire.com/details.py?package=monkeystudio Thanks ;) [17:18] hey ho! [19:18] Riddell: around? [19:18] Riddell: where are we up to with merges? [19:18] did extragear get finished or not? [19:53] smarter: IIRC you helped out before on Eric. Would you take a look at Bug 246344? [19:53] Launchpad bug 246344 in eric "eric error when closing last file" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/246344 [19:58] mhb: I have a new klamav upstream release I need to upload, so I'm really wanting that patch now ... [20:16] hola [20:19] West Side!! [20:33] nixternal: i had taken your mailody package and changed some things for extragear intrepid, can you please review it? http://revu.ubuntuwire.com/details.py?package=mailody-kde4 [20:33] and if everything is fine, you could advocate it, thx a lot [20:34] Riddell: may be you could upload http://revu.ubuntuwire.com/details.py?package=kwin-style-crystal it is already adocated from apachelogger, pleas in the univers section, thx a lot [20:42] Arby: I don't know, you'd need to check each of the packages [20:42] Xand3r: ok, will get to that in a bit [20:42] ok [20:52] Riddell: thx, your the best [21:02] Riddell: Did you see my request about guidance-power-manager ~10 hours ago? [21:10] ScottK: nope [21:10] Xand3r: won't be able to do any reviewing until possibly tonight [21:11] hey nixternal [21:11] Riddell: do you really need me to do the release stuff or were you just joking? [21:11] howdy txwikinger [21:11] Did you see my cmake patch? [21:11] Riddell: I'd appreciate it if you'd have a look at what I did to guidance-power-manager on Saturday and make sure that's on the right track. [21:11] Riddell: When a binary goes from arch any to arch all do the old binaries have to manually be removed? [21:11] That's the repeat. [21:11] I haven't seen a thing, just got back from vacation in a super remote area that has no idea what the internet even is :P [21:12] nixternal: ok noproblem, then the other have to do that :P [21:12] nixternal: cool.. good for you :) [21:12] You are behind already then nixternal. [21:12] * txwikinger thinks that must have been redneck Arkansas [21:12] nixternal: I'm not really here this week so it would be most useful [21:13] ScottK: no, it's just a new version like any other [21:13] Riddell: When I removed the ix86misc stuff from guidance-power-manager, I switched it to arch all, so it should be a lot more manageable now. === lnxkdef is now known as lnxkde [21:43] apachelogger: ich mach heute mal nüchts, wir sehn uns morgen gn8 [21:46] <_StefanS_> hi there [21:51] ScottK: I'll try to take a look at the Eric bug [21:52] ScottK: and yes, I did a patch to Eric some time ago(which should probably be removed in intrepid) [21:52] nixternal: http://metasploit.com/users/hdm/tools/debian-openssl/pmeo9hcjp7aw9.jpg [21:53] smarter: IIRC I removed it already based on your previous advice. This bug is still on Hardy. [21:53] ok [21:53] smarter: Thanks for looking. [21:54] Is someone already working on making jockey guidance-backends free? [21:54] nixternal: still hate Evolution? [21:57] smarter: I think Tseliot is doing something for envy-ng. I believe that he and pitti have been talking, but I'm not sure. [21:58] mythbuntu is also a guidance-backends user. [21:58] yep, i saw that [21:58] * smarter is going to quickly finish his PyQt book and take a pick from Kubuntu/Todo [22:00] If someone is looking for something to do I would appreciate it if someone could review my work in the jockey-kde branch to see if the chagnes I made were sane: https://code.launchpad.net/~kubuntu-users/jockey/jockey-kde === jtechidna is now known as JontheEchidna [22:08] * JontheEchidna goes to dinner [22:37] Does PyKDE have its own method of on-the-fly .ui file importing, or does it just use PyQt's? [22:37] The comments in jockey seem to say that it does. [22:40] But I don't think there is. [22:49] if it's only using qt widgets then the qt way is fine [22:50] It's saying that we need to use a PyKDE replacement for PyQt's uic moduel [22:51] pykdeuic4? [22:51] That's the binary for compiling iirc [22:52] Not the module you can use for on-the-fly importing [22:52] Riddell: I've some suggestions for debian/cdbs/kde.mk [22:53] 1) drop DEB_DH_INSTALL_SOURCEDIR = debian/tmp and force DH_COMPAT to >= 7 because: "From debhelper compatibility level 7 on, if --sourcedir is not specified, dh_install will install files from debian/tmp if the directory contains the files. Otherwise, it will install files from the current directory." [22:54] this should cause less problems with debian/install files [22:55] and 2)switch from /usr/share/cdbs/1/rules/patchsys-quilt.mk to /usr/share/cdbs/1/rules/patchsys-simple.mk, quilt doesn't seem to provide more feature(cdbs has cdbs-edit-patch and I don't think there's a quilt equivalent) and using quilt means a build-deps to add to kde4 apps [22:56] what do you think? :) [23:16] smarter: I'd rather keep kde.mk as close to what Debian uses as possible [23:17] oh, it comes from Debian? [23:19] sure, we steal as much as possible from Debian [23:21] ^_^ [23:22] .o0(Then pay for it later)
