[00:00] Hi! Ubuntu's kernel config has disabled force feedback drivers (CONFIG_HID_FF is not set). Is there a reason for this? I'd like to use this feature. [00:55] emgent: not a kernel bug...and I've never used it so can't really comment on it [01:00] BenC: package is the same, but have problem with the last kernel.. (thinking to wireless card driver) [01:10] emgent: it's probably because the wireless api changed and that package needs to be updated === asac_ is now known as asac === thegodfather is now known as fabbione === thunderstruck is now known as gnomefreak === doko_ is now known as doko [15:10] Hi. There is a number of people suffering from a regression introduced in the 2.6.24 kernel, where the RTL8111/8168B network chipset does not work at all. The bug is fixed with the intrepid kernel. It's bug 221499 [15:13] afflux, do you own a card like this? [15:14] no, a friend does. [15:14] afflux, I just scanned over the issue, so this might be inaccurate [15:14] afflux, I noticed something about interrupt 220 [15:15] afflux, I saw such high numbers when msi was used [15:15] afflux, maybe it would help to try pci=nomsi as a test [15:15] oh okay, I'll give it a try [15:16] thanks for the hint [15:16] afflux, I would appreciate to know whether that changed anything [16:04] smb_tp_: it seems to work with pci=nomsi [16:04] afflux, ok, great. that give me some place to start [16:05] okay. I'll post that to the report for the record. [16:05] afflux, ok, had posted that option, but feedback for the record is good. I'll dig for a solution [16:06] great, thanks === cjwatson_ is now known as cjwatson
