[06:49] wow fail [19:51] hey everyone [20:42] hey bobbo [20:49] charles_: still here? [20:49] yep [20:50] charles_: is this group still active anymore? [20:53] it's in hibernation now, afaict. I rejoined a few days ago after an absence, and haven't seen any discussion [20:53] charles_: cool, I'm trying to get some people behind me to sort of restart the group, seeing how little activity hass been going on with it [20:54] :) [20:54] asac, javamaniac: ping [20:55] ? [20:55] asac: would you be interested in helping to try and get MOTU-Torrent "resurrected"? [21:02] bobbo: how that? [21:02] ;) [21:02] any good ideas? [21:06] asac: i've been asking around on teh planet and motu@ and I've managed to get a couple extra people interested [21:07] bobbo: what are the features of those people? [21:08] jdong says he has ideas on how to make members more active and keep the team self sustaining [21:08] and I was thinking if we maintain package collaboratively in bzr and have regular torrent specific tasks, we should be able to keep interest in the team up [21:12] bobbo: where is jdong? [21:12] he was MIA last i recall [21:12] is he active again? [21:14] asac: he is busy with something else at the moment but in his email he said he will be active again in September [21:15] yeah, "I have had to suspend most of my Ubuntu work until school starts up (beginning of September)" [21:18] ok [21:18] bobbo: problem with using a shared bzr repo is that this means that all maintenance belongs to us [21:18] bobbo: good by merging from debian [21:18] -> which means a lot more work [21:20] asac: ah good point [21:21] i havent really used it before, but I know several people that really rave about it being the next best thing [21:34] bobbo: bzr is good, but we would have to maintain it on our own [21:39] asac: in that case maybe it would be a good idea to maintain packages that will be changed alot (im think deluge for this one) in bzr [21:51] bobbo: isnt deluge maintained in debian?
