[11:09] <godlygeek> mjg59: thanks a lot for the help earlier.  the eventual solution was something quite apocryphal with a tool called 'keyfuzz' to manipulate the USB keyboard codes before they're sent on to the PS/2 compatibility layer (if i understand correctly), so you certainly pointed me in the right direction.
