davmor2cjwatson: I'll be doing some smoke testing for the next few days due to not being around for the alpha 5 release.  Is there anything you'd like me to check while testing?11:10
davmor2cjwatson: Kubuntu Alternate 20080821 breaks on tasksel11:42
cjwatsondavmor2: thanks, will check11:54
davmor2cjwatson I've just burnt it to some different media to double check before I bug it.11:55
cjwatsonmmm office download speeds11:56
davmor2cjwatson: 20 meg :)11:56
davmor2cjwatson: No failed again.  Do you need the log files attached to the bug etc?11:59
cjwatsondavmor2: always12:03
davmor2cjwatson: Np's I'll ping you bug number shortly :)12:04
davmor2cjwatson: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/+bug/26002912:12
cjwatsondavmor2: in future I'd appreciate just the syslog and partman files attached separately, rather than as a tarball12:14
cjwatsonit should be faster for you to do and it's much easier for me to process12:14
davmor2cjwatson: are those the two you need each time?12:14
cjwatsonyes12:15
cjwatsonthe others are uninteresting12:15
davmor2okay no probs then I'll do that in future for you :)12:15
cjwatsonanyway, see bug, that sort of thing isn't an installer bug - stuff is just uninstallable12:16
cjwatsoncompare http://people.ubuntu.com/~ubuntu-archive/testing/intrepid_probs.html12:16
cjwatsonand actually http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily/current/report.html is better here12:16
cjwatsonif kubuntu-desktop is uninstallable in that report, you should generally just skip the test as it won't work12:16
davmor2cjwatson: ah okay cool these thing are useful to know :)12:17
kirklandnasrat: ping13:41

poningruok I think I figured it out21:59
poningruthanks persia21:59
udit99I have a vague conception of tasks being similar to metapackages... but in creation of an ubuntu installer, where do we find the tasks like ubuntu-standard ?.. Where are these specified ?22:17
udit99If I look at the Packages index file of the repo on my ISO, I can see that there are some packages that have been specified as belonging to a task, but apart from that Im not sure where to find the defined set of tasks on my ISO22:18
