Joeb454nobody?01:44
Joeb454is there likely to be any issues in upgrading from Hardy to Intrepid but keeping the same /home partition?01:47
DanaGThere shouldn't be.01:52
DanaGJust be aware of breakage risk, as usual with any development version.01:52
Joeb454naturally01:53
DanaGFor example, the nvidia 71 and 96 drivers are nonfunctional.01:53
Joeb454I have intel :)01:53

DanaGThere's a one-line command you can run to paste it.04:11
DanaGEither that, or you can run the upgrade.04:12
DayOldPorridgeCan't really run the upgrade, as I have no internet access on my extra ubuntu partition without KPPP installed.04:12
DayOldPorridgeWhat is the one-line command?04:13
DanaGAah, one thing you can do: download the new version deb, and install via command line.04:17
DanaGThe one-liner is one that'd need copy-and-paste.04:17
DanaGSo it'd be easier to download the fixed deb and put it on a flash drive, or something.04:18
DayOldPorridgeAhh mmkay.04:19
DanaG.. then again, you could copy and paste into a script file.04:20
DayOldPorridgeNo extra dependencies I'd need?04:20

DayOldPorridgeIs there another way to fix the pam issue besides installing the updated version of pam?  Since I don't have internet access on my Ubuntu laptop at the moment, I can only put the update on a flashdrive and then install it from source.  I did that, however the update to pam 1.0.1-3ubuntu2 didn't seem to fix the log-in problem.14:42
AmpelbeinDayOldPorridge: You could put the .deb on the flashdrive and use dpkg -i to install (if all dependencies are met)14:55
