[14:57] <kirkland> cjwatson: but I dropped to a shell in the installer, and tested the patch, finished the install, and then booted from each of the disks in the mirror

[14:58] <kirkland> cjwatson: since the current grub-installer doesn't write the MBR to both disks, i was able to "fix" the problem after the install, in runtime, with grub-install
