RAOFI was looking at the grub2 merge, and it might be nice to make last-good-boot work with grub2 as well as grub.  As far as I can see, about all that requires is having the kernel-helper script available; this is in the grub package, but looks like it should work without modification for grub2.01:31
RAOFCould we split that script out of the grub binary package, so grub2's various binary packages could depend on it?  I'm just floating this at the moment; I haven't finished testing that it works!01:33

trv__one question about something strange I noticed12:12
trv__in ubuntu, /proc/kallsyms contains the symbol sys_call_table and its address. I've tested in debian,redhat/fedora/centos and this file does not contain the symbol for sys_call_table12:12
trv__is there a reason for that? ( i'm not even sure what is the "correct" behavior here)12:13
