[15:51] <pgib> hooray. I finally get to ask a support question here :-/   I just upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10.  The install seemed to work fine (I used dist-upgrade) however, when it rebooted, the system took me to the CLI

[15:53] <pgib> Then it complained about the theme not being correct. So, I fixed the THEME key in /etc/default/kdm.d/20_kubuntu_default_settings
[15:54] <pgib> However, now, when I try to start KDE, there is no mouse or keyboard activity, although the keyboard works in the CLI (and Ctrl-Alt-1 works)
