[10:33] Any body home?? [10:34] Congrat Nythain [16:47] have I got this right: you don't need Firestarter because iptables already works in the background. Firestarter is kind of a display for the iptables? [16:48] Ultimus: firestarter is a grafical util to configure iptables, the build-in fw is ufw [16:49] also fstarter offers some more options, like internet-connection sharing [16:50] but does iptables do anything if you dont install firestarter [16:50] not unless u specifify sth in it's config [16:51] ok [16:51] if you want a very basic fw, in terminal do : sudo ufw enable [16:52] but I already have firestarter, although I havent changed any config since I installed it, does it mean a could rather be without it [16:53] firestarter configures iptables, too and is more xetendend then ufw [16:54] you mean by itself === Rafik_ is now known as Rafik [21:52] I need to learn some packaging techniques [21:53] !packaging | et3 [21:53] et3: The packaging guide is at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/PackagingGuide - See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDevelopment/NewPackages for information on getting a package integrated into Ubuntu - Other developer resources are at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuDevelopment - See also !backports [21:54] et3: And try #ubuntu-motu instead. [21:54] jpds: thank you
