giosue_ci'm new to launchpad and have just pushed up my first source package to my ppa, but my build isn't quite working.  does anyone have a minute to answer some questions?03:51
mkanatgiosue_c: I think lots of people are away, right now.03:55
mkanatgiosue_c: If nobody answers now, come back later--people are usually very helpful.03:55
giosue_cis earlier in the day better or just not around the holidays?03:56
mkanatgiosue_c: I think it's just that it's the holidays. Earlier is better sometimes, though, because of where people are located.03:59
Kalidarnwould an administrators be about?05:00
Hobbseegiosue_c_: what isn't working?05:26
mnI need approval of a project.  Anyone staff that could help?05:38
wisd0mhello, is this a place for question regarding Open PGP singing of the CoC?07:04
wgrantwisd0m: Probably - lots of people aren't around over the holidays, but it's worth a try. What is the issue?07:10
wisd0mi am trying to give a refferal. i got help doing that on IRC, but i can't remember the channel07:12

nhandlerI'm trying to follow the guide to using the python launchpad API. After running "    launchpad = Launchpad.get_token_and_login('just testing', STAGING_SERVICE_ROOT, cachedir)", it says it is meant to open my web browser for me to login. However, I am doing this over SSH, so my browser is links2 (CLI Browser). When I login in links2, it just reloads the login page. Is there any way to make this work?18:20
kagouHi18:28
kagouI'v asked to create a Mailing list  for our team. This creation is "pending approval"18:29
kagouDo I contact someone (launchpad admin) to accelerate approval process ?18:29
kagoumay be to explain our needs ?18:29
beunokagou, for which team is that?18:36
kagoubeuno, for https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-fr-planet18:37
beunokagou, approved18:38
kagouwow18:39
kagoutanks beuno  !18:39
beuno:)18:39
nhandlerbeuno: Do you know anything about the Launchpad API?18:40
beunonhandler, a little bit. I saw your question, but I'm not sure how the interaction with links2 is18:41
nhandlerbeuno: Ok, no problem. Hopefully, the jaunty xserver issue will be resolved soon so I don't need to use ssh ;)18:42
beunonhandler, I'm sure it will18:42
nhandlerbeuno: Actually, I got past that step. I just copied and pasted the URL it was trying to open. For some reason, that worked18:43
beunonhandler, ah, and opening it directly doesn't then?18:44
nhandlerbeuno: When the API tried launching the browser, it didn't work right. However, manually going to the URL did work18:46
beunonhandler, does launching URLs from other places work>18:53
beuno?18:53
beunomaybe it's a bug in the library18:53
nhandlerbeuno: I'll do some more testing later to try and figure out exactly what is wrong.18:55
beunonhandler, thanks18:56
maxbThe latest version of the ubuntu 'zblast' source package doesn't seem to be building on any architectures other than i386, and I can't figure out why18:58
maxbThere is a P-a-s entry for *one* of the binaries generated by the source - but there are also arch-any binaries which should be built18:59

RainCTHi21:26
RainCTIs there some way to dget from a private PPA?21:26
cityLights3is there anyone here to help a newbie?23:01
oojahcityLights3: Ask your question and if anybody can help they will :)23:02
cityLights3thanks23:02
oojahBut bear in mind that the launchpad developers are less likely to be here as they're probably on holiday...23:02
cityLights3how can I add a co writer to a new project?23:02
cityLights3after I open a new branch I can only add subscribers23:03
cityLights3I want a second developer to be able to commit code23:03
oojahI'm not familiar at all with branches in launchpad, but have you looked into teams?23:04
cityLights3how do I define a team23:04
cityLights3?23:04
cityLights3I just ran team in the help23:05
cityLights3reading up23:05
oojahhttps://launchpad.net/people23:05
oojahI imagine that a team can own a branch. Could be wrong though :)23:06
oojahhttps://code.launchpad.net/pyroom <- some of the branches here are owned by teams.23:09
cityLights3 I am tring to add the team to the branch23:10
cityLights3it aint that simple23:10
cityLights3I now need to associate it to a project23:12
cityLights3and I can't give my own23:12
cityLights3I must add to an exsiting one...23:12
cityLights3got to go23:13
stgrabercityLights3: you should: 1) create a project, 2) create a team, 3) register a branch owned by that team for that project23:29
stgrabercityLights3: then add everyone to the team23:29
stgraber(where everyone means everyone who should be able to commit code of course)23:29
