* stgraber downloads and start testing ltsp and edubuntu01:20
stgraberLTSP done, doing edubuntu now02:39
* stgraber takes ubuntu alternate amd64 and edubuntu amd6404:06
stgrabershould be done in 30min or so04:07
stgraberdone, not found any show stopper though can't test ltsp on amd64 as I'd need a 64bit thin client04:43
sbeattiehrm, looks like ubuntu-server could use testing on esx.04:57
davmor2morning schwuk09:13
mvosbeattie: hey, thanks for your patch to update-manager-text. given that it is relatively new, do you have any feedback on it? should it do more or is it just right?09:13

marginoferrorIs this the right place to ask a question about 9.04?13:37
davmor2depends what the question is if your after general help then use #ubuntu+113:37
marginoferrorOh, okay.  I might check there too.  I have a problem with rsync and since I'm not used to using it I'm not sure if it's a 9.04 bug or a problem with my usage13:38
marginoferrorI keep getting rsync: mkstemp "/.temp.0OInXC" failed: Permission denied (13)13:38
marginoferror... oh13:39
davmor2marginoferror: what command are you using13:39
marginoferrorYeah, I think the problem is that I'm an idiot13:39
marginoferrorAnd was typing for the destination 10.0.0.104:/13:39
marginoferrorInstead of 10.0.0.104:/~13:39
marginoferrorOr, wait13:39
marginoferrorWell, I'll get it eventually now that I know what the problem is13:39
davmor2try ~/. for home directory13:40
marginoferrorYes13:40
marginoferrorSorry about that.  Well, it's working now13:40
davmor2nps'13:40

davmor2cr3: how's Canada today dude?14:57
stgrabersnow is melting :)15:06
stgraberhi davmor2. I tried ltsp yesterday and both amd64 and i386 install looked fine with /opt/ltsp/images/<architecture>.img present and thin client booting fine15:07
davmor2stgraber: Yeah.  I saw.   My issue was that /etc/ltsp/dhcp (is it) pointed to /opt/ltsp/images/i386 on amd6415:10
davmor2I kept getting image not found from the client15:10

stgraberdavmor2: that'd have been in /etc/inetd.conf, is your thin client 64bit ?17:32
davmor2stgraber: both yes17:34
stgraberdavmor2: after installation on amd64 I have /opt/ltsp/images/amd64.img in /etc/inetd.conf ... weird17:37
davmor2stgraber: do you have 2 eth cards?17:38
stgraberyeah17:38
stgraberit's a kvm with two interfaces17:38
davmor2that's probably why then I still haven't been able to get one so I have to hack it about a bit to get it to send and receive worked fine on i386.   So I'm guessing it's something I'm doing rather than something the machine is doing :)17:40
diverppl, when alpha 6 will release?19:01
aracr3: marc, where checkbox puts the report by default?20:47
cr3ara: the submission.xml report?21:13
aracr3: yes, I found it, thx21:14

cr3ara: sure, what's up?21:14

aracr3: name: new_test21:15
araplugin: auto21:15
aracategories: laptop, desktop21:15
aracommand: true21:15
aradescription: this is a test...21:15
aracr3: but I get this reply:21:16
aranew_testskip Test not handled by any plugin.21:16
cr3ara: right, it's called shell rather than auto, requirement from mdz at the uds in mountain view21:16
cr3that's an awesome error message by the way! :)21:16
mdzcr3: s/requirement/suggestion/, I just thought it clearer21:17
cr3mdz: agreed, suggestion it is then :)21:17
