BOZGHey.  Does anyone know what settings in /home could possibly disable PCI card detection?00:00
josh-lso here is my request :) http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Avant+%%5BREQUEST!%%5D?action=content&content=10128300:04
joshua_does anyone have kwin4-style-bespin installed? I have installed it but it refuses to appear in Window Decorations in the System Settings00:09

phoenixzIs there a way / command in shell that I can cat the contents of a text filie to the clipboard of KDE?00:10

nate_hello room00:58
kinesisQuestion - My friend told me that he tried running Kubuntu on his Lenovo IdeaPad S10 Netbook (1.6GHz Intel Atom Processor, 2GB ram) and youtube / flash was rather choppy.  I have two questions:  Will using a swap partition help at all, is swap even necessasary on a machine that has 2gb ram?  If thats not the solution, is there a way to increase FireFox(or swiftweasel)'s CPU priority ?00:59
bazhangflash was choppy? as in stopping and starting?01:00
kinesislike chopppy01:00
kinesislike if you watch a youtube movie for example01:00
kinesisit can seem sluggish or skip frames01:00
kinesislike not smooth playback as it should be01:00
bazhangin full screen?01:00
kinesisjust in general period01:00
casinowarrenquestion, anyone know of a good free password removal program?01:00
kinesisfull screen or not01:00
bazhangswap will have no effect on that01:01
nate_i have the same problem, it pisses the wife off to no end.01:01
casinowarrenI used to have one but the disk got stolen and I don't remember what it was.  It was linux based, but you could change passwords to any OS because it was a Live CD01:01
kinesisso im wondering if 1) putting a 2gb swap partition matters at all(i heard this only good for old school machines with like 256MB ram) or is there a way to increase CPU pririoty of the firefox/swiftweasel process01:01
kinesismaking it utilize the cpu in realtime01:01
kinesisso with 2gb of ram you dont use swap right?01:02
bazhangcasinowarren, password cracker?01:02
bazhangkinesis, rarely if ever01:03
kinesisim gonna use JFS on this is that a good choice01:03
kinesisi heard its the best01:03
kinesisand its made by ibm (same maker of this laptop)01:03
kinesisnot that that matters any01:03
bazhangcasinowarren, that is not supported in any #ubuntu channels, nor on freenode generally I would imagine.01:04
bazhangcasinowarren, so please dont ask about it.01:04
hixcasinowarren: pretty sure u mean Backtrack01:04
kinesisjfs or what?01:05
kinesisim in kubuntu setup right now so i need to know01:05
kinesisthats why im asking if swap is gonna help01:05
kinesisand what filesystem to use etc01:05
bazhangkinesis, this is intrepid?01:05
kinesishuh?01:05
kinesisno01:05
kinesisidk01:05
kinesisits Kubuntu 8.1001:05
bazhangyep01:06
kinesisso im wondering what FS to use01:06
kinesisI heard JFS is best01:06
casinowarrenbacktrack?01:06
kinesisand fastest01:06
kinesisw/e just going with JFS and no swap01:06
bazhangthat is entirely up to you; ext3 has the best track record-->you could wait til next month and try ext4 if you wish01:06
kinesisext4? hm01:06
nate_it seems like it is only some of the videos for me, the ones that are choppy display NaN:NaN for the time01:06
kinesisnate are you using SwiftWEasel01:07
kinesis?01:07
kinesisor just regular firefox01:07
nate_firefox01:07
kinesisok01:07
kinesisim gonna try w/ swiftweasel and see if it helps, theres an even fater one than that i hear but i forgot what its called01:07
DaSkreechkinesis: with any amount of RAM you sue swap once you run out of RAM01:07
kinesisso is swap necessary?01:07
DaSkreechesp with apps like Firefox that cache aggresively with RAM01:07
kinesisi have 2gb01:07
kinesisgonna just make 2gb swap partition, why not01:08
bazhangto be safe sure01:08
bazhangI have 6gb :)01:08
kinesisso main partition is which: Primary or Logical01:08
DaSkreechkinesis: With 2GB of RAM you can probably get away with 1 GB of Swap01:08
DaSkreechHonestly if you have teh HDD space then an extra 1GB won't kill you and it will be very sueful if you need it01:09
kinesiscool01:09
kinesisyeah01:09
kinesisSo my main kubuntu partition is which: Primary or Logical01:09
nate_ive been battling it for months, queried chats etc, it is the same in konqueror01:09
kinesiswell try swiftweasel idk01:10
kinesisim gonna try to hack it myself01:10
kinesisi have a feeling the linux kernel doesnt support intel atom properly01:10
kinesisbut im gonna see if theres ways to increase CPU pririoty (like in windows01:10
kinesispriority01:10
kinesisfor firefox/swiftweasel01:10
bazhangsure it does01:10
kinesisbut i still need to know, is the main partition A) Primary or B) Logical01:10
kinesisand is the swap partition A) Primary or B) Logial01:10
devilsadvocate_my kubuntu is using 670 mb of ram, and i have a _lot_ of things running... 2 gb of ram is unlikely to swap01:11
kinesisill just 1gb then01:11
akraftI'm trying to configure grip, but I can't find my cd drive. Rhythmbox sees it, but I can't find it in /mount, /dev, /media, etc. Any help?01:11
kinesisbut like i said above.. still wondering01:11
kinesisi guess swap is logical, main is primary right?01:11
devilsadvocate_kinesis, doesnt matter (primary/swap)01:12
devilsadvocate_primary/logical*01:12
nate_mine are all logical.01:12
akraftgrip doesn't like "cdda://scd0/"01:12
hixkinesis: isnt that important01:12
kinesisi just put main as primary01:12
* devilsadvocate_ is off01:12
kinesisswap as logical01:12
kinesismakes sense, its your primary drive01:12
hix kinesis: will be fine. i have all primary sometimes. also ok.01:13

dave_anyone know about running virtual machines?03:51
bazhang!vm03:52
ubottuThere are several solutions for running other operating systems (or their programs) inside Ubuntu, while using the native CPU as much as possible: !QEmu (with !KQemu), !VirtualBox, !VMWare, as well as !WINE and !Cedega for Windows applications03:52
dave_!virtual box03:53
ubottuSorry, I don't know anything about virtual box03:53
dave_!vmware03:53
ubottuVMWare is not available in the Ubuntu repositories. Consider using !QEmu or !VirtualBox as alternatives. Instructions for installing VMWare manually are at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VMware03:53
bazhangyou can get virtualbox-ose from the repos03:54
dave_yeah i got it and its running03:54
dave_i don't know how to get install a windows os once i get started03:54
bazhangyou need the installer disk03:54
dave_yeah i have it03:54
bazhangthen navigate to it via the gui and choose it03:55

joshua_hey you guys, how do i go about installing amarok kde4 on intrepid?03:57

dave_nope03:58
bazhangaha03:58
dave_how exactly would i go about doing that ... sorry for all the questions but i have been a long time windows user and this is a lot different for me03:59
joshua_ok after adding http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-members-kde4/ubuntu to my sources, is there anyway to update all my current kde3 applications to their appropriate kde4 versions all at once? or do I have to uninstall amarok kde3 for example and reinstall amarok kde4?04:00
bazhangjoshua_, you can actually just enable backports now to get 4.204:02
bazhangjoshua_, some of the kde3 apps have not been fully updated to match kde404:02
joshua_bazhang: I have kde 4.2 by adding "unsupported updates" but not the kde 4 apps04:03
joshua_will enabling backports do apps too?04:03
bazhangjoshua_, and some of them are not there yet04:03
joshua_bazhang: ok thanks04:03
bazhangbackports is for 4.204:03
bazhangdave_, let me see if I can find a tutorial04:03

dave_i haven't found much that has been real helpful .... the whole process of installing new software is still a mystery to me04:04
dave_if its not in adept im not having much luck04:04
joshua_bazhang: intrestingly i already had backports enabled, but amarok is still version kde3.504:07
joshua_is that normal04:07
bazhangdave_, a couple of guides on general ubuntu/kubuntu use might be handy04:07
bazhangjoshua_, I'm not sure about amarok, if you are referring to amarok204:08

Slartibartfastfor console/terminal there is top / htop05:23
SlartibartfastThere is concky, but you can't have a lot of interaction with it ... there are also system monitor plasmoids ... also without to much interaction05:25
ZengolI have a question for anyone who can answer it.05:29
ZengolHow many actual viruses can affect the Unix system?05:30
ZengolAs of an up to date Unix system.05:30
=== devilsadvocate is now known as away_da
SlartibartfastZengol: To my knowledge "0" ... no virus in itself (without user-interaction) can infect a Unix system05:31
ZengolSlartibartfast: That is great to know.05:32
ZengolSlartibartfast: I believe back in 92' or a bit earlier there was a total of only 15 viruses that could effect Unix.05:32
SlartibartfastZengol: The first virus ever was for Unix ... the Moris worm05:33
ZengolWhat did that one do?05:33
Slartibartfastspread05:34
ZengolWhat was it designed to do amongst the OS?05:34
Slartibartfasthttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Worm05:35
ZengolHeh.05:35
ZengolThat's what i was just looking at.05:35
ZengolThat's a pretty interesting subject.05:36
ZengolI never thought about a worm causing a system process overload.05:36
SlartibartfastI rather like to use the computer for other things :-)05:36
ZengolI knew you could change voltage setting's on a chipset to cause it to burn out, but never knew that.05:36

ZengolI might go back to 98 as my dual boot, haha.05:39
ZengolSee if i ever catch anything again using that05:39
ZengolI believe i would have quite a bit of trouble pulling it off though.05:40
ZengolLaptop came with that vista crap on it. : /05:40
ZengolLuckily the producer had a European site that provided XP driver's that allowed me to pull off an upgrade.05:41
ZengolBut i believe i might trash dual booting completely and stick with KDE.05:41
SlartibartfastBut still you paid for vista ... and ms sold another vista for their statistics05:42
ZengolI only bought it for the laptop, but yeah, you are right about that one. : /05:43
ZengolWould rather run Se7en. It seem's to be a massive upgrade from vista.05:43
ZengolI had a couple of incompatibility issue's, but i sure as hell didn't have as many as i did with vista.05:43
Slartibartfast7 is just an upgrade to vista ... but it has a lot of vista running in the background ... naturally ms is buying a lot of marketing time from reviewers, who need to say how great and wonderful 7 will be05:45
ZengolI just like the fact of how well it run's since it in in beta and doesn't have all that extra junk they add in to keep traack of user profiling.05:46

ZengolCould it be apart of pre-released updates?05:53
SlartibartfastZengol: Don't know why it is crashing for you05:53
ZengolIt has something to do with the desktop effect's.05:54
ZengolI'm gonna have to fiddle around with it and single out what the problem could possible be.05:54
Slartibartfastjithine: i am not sure, but i guess they are now rushing to get the bugs fixed of the kde version which they use now ... But this is mroe a question for #ubuntu+105:54
ZengolCould be the fact it uses OpenGL to do the effect's, could be 1 single effect causing it, no telling really.05:54
ZengolWould it be a bad idea to activate pre-releasedupdates?05:55
SlartibartfastZengol: it should be logged somewhere ...05:55
SlartibartfastZengol: Not bad if you like to experiment with bleeding edge software :-)05:56

ZengolIf it messes anything up, i can just start from scratch.06:00
SlartibartfastTrue :-)06:00

ZengolI've learned quite a few thing's so far.06:00
Zengol=o06:01
ZengolNew Kernel???06:01
SlartibartfastYeah ,,, but installing a new version of Kubuntu is quiet easy ...06:01
SlartibartfastNew kernel means also you will need to reboot after upgrade06:01
ZengolYeah, but look's like no new KDE version for me. =(06:02
SlartibartfastMmmm ... you already have kde 4.2 ?06:02
ZengolYes.06:02
Zengol4.2.0006:02
Slartibartfastah .... ok :-)06:02
ZengolIs that the newest possible version for Ibex?06:03
Slartibartfastthe bad thing about re-installing i think is my own custom settings which i need to do again ...  install bind as caching nameserver, install rar gimp, firefox, thunderbird ... etc06:04

Slartibartfasta kernel update gives you a new version of the kernel ...06:10

Slartibartfastwhat drivers you manually configured for your present kernel ?06:12
ZengolNone.06:12
ZengolLol.06:12
ZengolJust the initially installed vga driver's.06:13
SlartibartfastSo a newer kernel won't need manually configured drivers either :-)06:13
ZengolSo it will automatically upgrade them for me?06:13
SlartibartfastYes ... to my knowledge yes ...06:13
ZengolOk then.06:14

SlartibartfastThats good :-)06:18
ZengolTime to see if i crash upon resolution change.06:18
ZengolYep.06:20
ZengolStill crashes, haha.06:20
ZengolI'll just have to single out the problem.06:20
ZengolMy main thought is that it could be the compositing type i'm using for the desktop effect's.06:21
ZengolIt's running OpenGL for it at the moment.06:21
ZengolBut i believe it crashes completely when i use Xserver for it.06:21
SlartibartfastIS your crash related to this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/27956806:22
ZengolNah.06:23
ZengolWhat mine does is let's say...06:23
ZengolI decide to play a game or a movie in full screen.06:23
ZengolIt has to change my resolution to 800x600.06:23
ZengolWhen it changes the resolution, it kick's me out to teh logon screen.06:24
Slartibartfastwow .. :-(06:24
SlartibartfastSo laso to play a movie full screen you ned to change the resolution >?06:24
Slartibartfastalso06:24
SlartibartfastZengol: maybe you can find clues in "cat .xsession-errors"06:26
ZengolWell, so far i've only been testing it out using Wine and playing Diablo 2, haha.06:26
ZengolOnly cause that's where my issue's first started at.06:26
cerecitashmmm Zengol i may very well mistaken06:27

ZengolYeah i've noticed that as well myself.06:29
cerecitasdon't ask me technial or detailed explanation... for me just does not work06:29
ZengolEven in win it has serious issue's.06:30
ZengolI guess i'll switch to Xrender.06:30

ZengolIf i'm not, then i guess i have to re-install Kubuntu...06:31

zeltakmdadm: /dev/sda1 appears to be part of a raid array:08:18
ActionParsnipzeltak: no, run lsmod08:25
ActionParsnipzeltak: those are all the probed modules, you can then remove the relevant one and it will make the raid stop working08:26
zeltakbut will it kill raid for good or after that i can start creating the raid again?08:26
ActionParsnipzeltak: the raid fnctionality i the current boot of the OS will cease, once rebooted the raid will be reinitiated (i hate fakeraid)08:27
zeltakok thx how do i "remove it" then issue kill command?08:28
ActionParsnipzeltak: sudo rmmod <module name>08:28

zeltakthx again ActionParsnip08:29
ActionParsnipzeltak: i'd recommend doing all this in a live cd08:29
zeltakmm ok thx08:29
cerecitashmm i have a little issue with partitions mounting... my fstab looks okay to me, and the "disk" permissions are in my user... then i wonder why on earth, i have to enter the root / user password everytime i mount it... it is not a big deal but i would like it to mount manually at startup...08:31
cerecitasi have also used chown -R on it with no luck, after every reboot i need to enter the password08:31
ActionParsnipcerecitas: if its in fstab correctly, it will mount at boot, if its a network mount you will need to add a script to the last rc level to rerun sudo mount -a08:32

etfbHere's another puzzle: why would the volume control on my laptop stop working?  It used to work, then something changed and it stopped.  I've mapped some keys to substitute for it, but it's annoying.  What sort of thing causes that?11:51
jochen__could nobody help me with my question?11:52
shadeslayerbazhang: the install finished too quickly again11:52
shadeslayernot even a second was taken11:52
useronedont know the answer jochen__ but it does the same on me too11:53
etfbjochen__: I don't understand the question.  There are a couple of grammatical errors that make it very obscure.  Can you rephrase?11:53
jochen__etfb: I use "apt-get update" and see that some lines end with "Translation-en_US"11:54
shadeslayerbazhang: any idea??11:54
jochen__etfb: but I don't know why this is added. because it is not mentioned in the file "source.list"11:54
shadeslayer:( looks like bazhang left11:55
useronecan anyone recommend a program for managing a portable player11:56
etfbjochen__: I would guess that these are separate files containing locale strings.  To explain: some programs separate their text strings into a file, and you can choose a translation.  So the US English version might contain "File", "Open", "New" and so on, and the French would contain "Fiche", "Ouvrir", "Nouvelle" and so on (excuse my high-school French).11:56
etfbjochen__: You're seeing the separate translation files for each of the programs you're updating.11:57
shadeslayerok ive gtg,ill use GNOME for now11:57
jochen__etfb: sorry, I don't get that. WHO does at this tell apt-get to add "Translation-en-US" to some lines?11:58
etfbWhen you use apt-get update, it goes to the repositories to get the newest versions of your programs, right?  Well, sometimes the only change is to the translations, so that's what it gets.12:00
etfbjochen__: Wait - I just ran apt-get update and it did something similar for me, but with a prefix of "Ign" = "Ignore".  Does yours have that?12:02
etfbjochen__: (Mine says Translation-en_AU, for Australian English, but that's because I'm in Australia and I told my regional settings that.)12:02
jochen__etfb: ok, but where does it come from???? I don't want this to be added. because it causes errors... to already existing lines but more important to a line I added manualy (virtualbox) ..it starts the line with Ign...12:03
etfbjochen__: Not sure, but if it says "Ign" it means it's being ignored.  Maybe it's part of how update works.  You'd have to look at the man pages I guess.12:05
=== VITO is now known as Guest30631

etfbjochen__: I don't know then.  Why is it a problem?12:07
=== Guest30631 is now known as NuovoNick
jochen__etfb:  it is a problem because it does NOT accept the repository from virtualbox, and so I can't use this to install the current version of virtualbox12:08
jochen__etfb:  and this problem did not appear when using ubuntu instead of kubuntu12:09
etfbjochen__: No idea, sorry.  I usually give up before this point and install stuff from sources using make and ./configure.  Hurts less than fiddling with repositories...12:11

narsilhttp://www.radio21.ro/site/Radio21Live.m3u12:14
jochen__etfb: Just in the moment I was able to fix the problem. and it was as I that: "Translation..." does lead to "ignoring some lines of the source.list. and that happens because of somebody (don't yet know who) adds it. but it is possible to tell apt that it should not search for any translation by adding a file apt.conf with content "APT::Acquire::Translation "none"; "12:14

axelxjjk: for not beeing cracked.21:01
josh-lwhat repo is amarok2 kde4 in?21:01
axelfrederic_: PSK?21:01
xjjkaxel: why does it need to be hex?21:01
xjjkmake something longer, I suppose... but the point of encryption is that no plaintext is easier to decrypt than another21:02
frederic_axel: pre-shared key21:02
axelxjjk: I have to enter it in a web radio without keyboard.21:02

xjjkmost people use phone numbers, names, etc21:03

p-fjust installed kubuntu and mounted my encrypted fat partition using truecrypt. Files with umlauts and other special characters are showing up with ? instead. I'm having a similar problem in opera, except it shows square boxes instead. What's up with that?21:16
frederic_josh-l: sudo apt-get install firefox. all packages you install with, are dependecies you need21:16
axelfrederic_: ??? I thoght in a Hex-key only 0-9 and a-f was allowed.21:17
xjjkaxel: are you talking about WPA or WEP?21:17
frederic_frederic_: that's right, but a WPA-key can use any character you want21:18
p-ffrederic_: "you need" = "apt thinks you need". It wants to pull in synaptic, half of gnome and a bunch of other silly packages21:18
frederic_xjjk: about WPA-PSK21:18
frederic_p-f: otherwise you can download it via the mozilla site21:19

billybigrigger_josh-l: this is on ubuntu jaunty, so i imagine im using jaunty kde repos no?21:23
josh-lbillybigrigger_: yes you are, are you interested in desktop effects in general or just compiz?21:23
billybigrigger_josh-l: is there anything better than compiz? :P21:24
billybigrigger_josh-l: compiz is fine, but im open to anything new, if theres something better than compiz out there21:24
josh-lbillybigrigger_:  well personally i dont mess with compiz on KDE 4 since KDE has its own effects that are very nice21:24
billybigrigger_josh-l: k, well how do i change window decorations then?21:25
billybigrigger_josh-l: or install a theme? like its not like gnome where i can drag and drop the .tar.gz into the apearance window21:25
josh-lto enable them billybigrigger_ just go to kmenu, select System Settings> Desktop> then  check enable desktop effects21:25
billybigrigger_maybe i just gotta play with it more and figure it out21:25
josh-lthen to change themes, go to System Settings> Appearance and youll find where to change other themes21:26
billybigrigger_k, desktop effects where already enabled21:26
p-fanother problem: when using my volume buttons, the volume osd gets displayed but doesn't actually change. Mute works.21:26
josh-lcool then you should see fading windows and stuff21:26
billybigrigger_josh-l: if thats what you call it lol21:26
billybigrigger_josh-l: compiz on gnome looks alot better than kde's effects, no offense21:26
josh-li disagree, but each to his own21:27

x_linkHi!22:44
x_linkI use Kubuntu 8.04 and I have a backports-repo in my sources.list22:44
x_linkI'm trying to help a giy that just converted to Kubuntu22:44
x_linkHe's using 8.10, but he doesn't seem to have backport-repo-22:45
x_linkhttp://www.speedyshare.com/276405375.html22:45
x_linkShouldn't he have that?22:45
tokeefeCan I use the open source ATI driver to get the transparent panels and cooler effects in KDE?22:45
gnummx_link: he wants backports on ubuntu 8.10?22:46
x_linkgnumm: I told him to remove # from backports. So that he can install KDE 4.222:47

tokeefeWhen I click on "Enable Desktop Effects" in the Desktop panel it just says "check your xorg.conf"22:47
x_linkCause I just helped another guy with the same thing and it worked.22:47
tokeefeFailed to activate desktop effects using the given configuration options. Settings will be reverted to their previous values. Check your X configuration. You may also consider changing advanced options, especially changing the compositing type.22:47
gnummso he uses kde4.1 actually?22:49
tokeefeWhat is XRender?22:49
x_linkYes22:49
tokeefeI can enable some effects when I switch to XRender as the Compositing type22:49
JemidonHi, I"m trying to upgrade my kubuntu...as i'm on 7.04. However I'm having difficulties adding repositories to upgrade? anyone got any ideas?22:49
jamesjedimastermisticwarrior: the pipe is in the shift+\ but depends totally on the keyboard; on desktop usually it's near to backspace, on laptop it could be next to Enter22:49
x_linkJemidon: I think it's better that you get a fresh re-install.22:50
x_linkBut that's just my opinion.22:50
x_linkJemidon: Which version do you want to upgrade to?22:50
x_link8.04 år 8.10?22:50

gnummx_link: http://www.kubuntu.org/news/kde-4.222:50
gnummwhy is it possible that ubuntu hardy is LTS and Kubuntu hrady not?22:50
gnummi mean they are both connected to the same repos22:51
Jemidon8.04 preferably22:51
x_linkgnumm: Isn't there just I repo I can tell him to add manualy?22:52
gnummin this link it is explained how to enable backports22:52
x_linkgnumm: I want him to do it through the terminal. So that he learns how it works.22:53
x_linkBut sure...thanks anyway.22:53

tokeefeShould I use XRender?22:58
tokeefeSeems slow22:58
tokeefeCan anyone see me?23:01
tokeefe:)23:01
olorin12I see you23:03
tokeefeDo you know which is preferred? OpenGL or XRender23:03
tokeefeI don't even know the difference23:03
olorin12me neither23:04
tokeefeI just see my CPU climb when I move a window around23:04
olorin12I would assume OpenGL since I've never heard of XRender but you prolly need the closed source binaries from ATI23:04
tokeefeI have desktop effects on and using XRender23:05
tokeefeI mean, will desktop effects fall back on your CPU23:05
olorin12that's a good ?  when I installed desktop effects were enabled by default w/o the driver23:05
tincho__hi, can someone tell me how to update my kubuntu intrepid to jaunty?23:05
tokeefeI'm trying to use the open source driver23:06
tokeefesince the closed source driver causes problems w/ hibernate23:06

tincho__hey, can someone tell me how to update my kubuntu intrepid to jaunty?23:07

tokeefeShould my CPU climb when I move windows around? I don;t know if this means it's not seeing my GPU23:08
olorin12tincho go to console and type "update-manager -d"23:10
olorin12tokeefe what kind of cpu and graphics card23:10
tincho__i did it, but it seems to be uninstalled23:10

tokeefeJust seems like when I go to drag a window it kind of lags23:13
tokeefefor a split seconds23:13
olorin12tokeefe  I would think that you might want to try to install the closed source driver and also install kpowermanager.  then go to your System Settings and find the power settings and make it to where your laptop doesn't hibernate - maybe just suspends to ram23:13
tokeefeSome of that might have been cuz I was on battery power ;)23:14
tokeefejust plugged in23:14
olorin12lol  you might have been on a 'dynamic' cpu setting    I change mine to performance cuz my lappy's always plugged in23:14
