[19:23] morning Meiz_n810 [19:23] Good morning Martyn [19:25] * Martyn is stuck in the lab today ... working on mx51 and omap3 platforms [19:26] Martyn: gimme one :P [19:27] armin76 : For pete's sake .. you can get an omap3 easily enough :) Buy a beagleboard. [19:27] Although I'm using the EVM right now, it's a bit more stsable [19:27] stable [19:27] and has a -wee- bit more expandability [19:28] Martyn: the beagleboard is really expensive for what it has, imho [19:28] armin76 : Really? When you add all the parts costs, plus manufacturing .. the beagleboard sells for a tiny bit above cost. [19:29] Probably one of the big reasons it lacks a lot of things [19:29] probably, but since i don't do this for a living, its expensive to me :) [19:29] Mind you, I have a new prototype machine on my desk right now that is based on the beagle's design somewhat .. and is a complete netbook [19:29] gimme! [19:30] what does the evm use? u-boot? [19:30] the motherboard was specifically designed to fit and replace the one in an Acer Aspire One 10" unit [19:30] yep [19:30] EVM is u-boot, beagle is u-boot, babbage is redboot [19:30] although I'm hoping to help get u-boot working properly. [19:30] I prefer u-boot [19:33] who doesn't :) [23:18] sun-java5 is a bit of fail on the ARM tree
