[00:06] nhandler, thank you, will do. But I expected the deb-src to be as up-to-date as the binary packages... nevertheless... pull-lp-source, here I come ;-) [00:07] hggdh: Do you have jaunty deb-src lines in /etc/apt/sources.list? [00:09] nhandler, yes. I actually only have Jaunty entries nowadays [00:10] can some one mark bug 354844 as wishbug ? [00:10] Launchpad bug 354844 in gnome-app-install "gnome-app-install should offer tasksell " [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/354844 [00:14] BUGabundo, sorry, only now I saw your question [00:14] hggdh: np [00:14] 1min is not long [00:15] heh... I was talking about the question you posed me about 1 HOUR ago [00:15] ahhh [00:15] LOLOL [00:15] what was I? [00:16] *it [00:16] I don't remember [00:16] wishlisted [00:17] about your patch [00:17] ahh lol [00:17] I've request a merge [00:17] and the answer is... I do not know. Not good in that area [00:17] let asac process bug mail to catch up [00:17] it was just my 1st [00:17] then I made 3 more! [00:17] bryce_, silly question, do you check your email on weekends? [00:17] it was so easy [00:17] cwillu: aahaha [00:18] BUGabundo, finally got that kernel bisect finished, hopefully ext4 will stop crashing soon :) [00:19] I still don't understand what X has to do with Ext4 [00:19] BUGabundo: you patch was against mbpi ... you requested merge against NM ... wrong ;) [00:20] yeah let me see [00:20] I just followed LP recommendation [00:20] i am off now. i rejected the merge because it was against wrong branch. do the same against mobile-broadband-provider-info [00:20] ~network-manager/network-manager/trunk (branch details)– development focus [00:21] bad LP [00:21] for mbpi? [00:21] thats wrong then. always request merge against whatever branch you started on [00:21] asac: I can't find it using search [00:21] mobile-broadband-provider-info [00:21] BUGabundo: well. you started with some branch. use that one ;) [00:21] returns nothing [00:22] BUGabundo: use https://code.launchpad.net/... [00:22] and append whatever is after the lp: [00:22] i gave you [00:22] I used https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~network-manager/mobile-broadband-provider-info/mobile-broadband-provider-info.ubuntu [00:22] yes. so that branch is where you should ask merge into [00:22] strange [00:22] maybe I got lost along the way [00:23] ;) [00:23] thats ok [00:23] LP is confusing for new users [00:23] first merge request [00:23] is confusing for sure [00:23] you can just ask for ~network-manager/mobile-broadband-provider-info/mobile-broadband-provider-info.ubuntu [00:23] in the lp field [00:23] that should work [00:23] maybe search for "mobile-broadband-provider-info.ubuntu" [00:24] Invalid value [00:24] BUGabundo: do the same for the other 2 branches ;) [00:24] you will find it ;) [00:24] bah! [00:25] the LP search is really borked [00:26] seems so [00:26] i would think that the ~network-manager/... path from above should work [00:26] https://code.edge.launchpad.net/~bugabundo/network-manager/bug353957/+register-merge [00:26] doesn't allow me to request what you asked [00:26] BUGabundo: the problem is that you pushed your branch to ~network-manager/network-manager [00:26] thats wrong [00:26] ahh [00:26] it should have been: ~network-manager/mobile-broadband-provider-info/... [00:27] it was what I was told on #LP [00:27] I'll pull and push again [00:27] BUGabundo: yeah. please remember to delete the other branches ;) [00:27] otherwise they will always show up as network-manager branches [00:28] BUGabundo: anyway. thumbs up. good work. i will look at the merges tomorrow for mbpi [00:28] question re. bug 354542 and bug 129514: obviously, 129514 is a general case, and 354542 a specific (perhaps even basic one). I masked the former a dup of the latter. Is this wrong? [00:28] Launchpad bug 354542 in xchat "Cannot change language of spell checker (dup-of: 129514)" [Undecided,Incomplete] https://launchpad.net/bugs/354542 [00:28] Launchpad bug 129514 in xchat "enable selecting spell check language by channel" [Wishlist,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/129514 [00:28] * asac now off [00:28] bzr: ERROR: Permission denied: "/~bugabundo/network-manager/mobile-broadband-provider-info/mobile-broadband-provider-info": : Cannot create branch at '/~bugabundo/network-manager/mobile-broadband-provider-info/mobile-broadband-provider-info' [00:30] bdmurray, pls see my question above [00:30] hggdh, I'd say that leaving them seperate, but linking one to the other might be more useful. Just at first glance, it would appear that one is more of a global-xchat wishlist, wheras the other is asking for the ability to change things for a particular channel (#ubuntu-fr to french, while leaving everything else in english) [00:30] but I have no authority here :p [00:31] cwillu, indeed, I see that. Ah well, I will separate them. And would you not have auth here? ;-) [00:34] hggdh: I think they are different enough to be separate bugs too [00:38] bdmurray, I already split them, based on cwillu's input, thanks. I will open an upstream bug as soon as possible (or link to one) [01:15] is bugzilla gnome always this slow? [01:16] BUGabundo, it can be slow... [01:16] (but one gets used to it. [16:14] JonCharge: Basically yes. Just a sec and I'll give you a link. [16:14] JonCharge: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/HowToTriage#Confirming [16:14] Thank you. [16:20] what to do when the original poster doesn't have the problem anymore (with unknown reason), but someone in the comments does??? [16:20] fix released? confirmed? [16:21] should the one in the comments post a new bug? [16:21] GSMX: It is still a valid bug, right? [16:22] If the commenter reports a new bug, it would probably be a duplicate? [16:22] but the original poster says he doesn't have the problem anymore (probably through an update) [16:23] That did not make it invalid [16:23] You should be able to confirm it [16:24] You can't make it fix-released unless you know what fixed it. If others are having the same issues, it is not fixed if they are up to date. [16:24] thats true... ok thanks! === Sikon is now known as LucidFox [19:57] hello everyone, some one has reported a bug saying that there is a CD/DVD creator program in the "System Tools" menu and that it should be in the "Sound & Video" menu. The CD/DVD creator program is the one built into Nautilus and it seems only useful for data disks, not music/video disks, and that is why it is under "System Tools". I told the bug reporter this and how to remove it if they wish. My question is can I mark this a [21:17] yghannam7388, is this the nautilus-cd-burner? [21:35] hggdh: yes [21:37] hggdh: when i click on the icon it opens nautilus and basically acts as a folder to place items === mnemo is now known as mne|afk [21:48] yghannam7388, isn't nautilus-cd-burner the burner that has just been replaced by brasero as the default on Jaunty? [21:50] Jaunty 64bit alpha 6 [21:50] it was reported about two weeks ago [21:50] k [21:50] i confirmed it also on my computer [21:51] I think the bug should be kept open [21:51] there is a potential confusion on the naming and usage [21:51] ok [21:52] what should be done to resolve this? should we change the name on the icon or have it not install at all? === mne|afk is now known as mnemo [23:38] hi folks, wonder if anyone can help.
